Depends if it's a track-ready convertible.

Integrated rollbar with brake light? Dark Horse spoiler installed not "deleted"? If they make a Mustang Spyder, I'd be interested.

EDIT - By which I mean "Mustang Roadster", not a Lovecraftian horror

@Instant Action - there is a video on youtube of a factory tour of the new Shelby factory (Scottsdale?) where all the HP modifications are begun on GTs and DHs. At one point where the factory manager is giving the tour he shows a side room in the factory where a prototype of a DH convertible and I believe he calls it a DH are sitting in a bay. I believe he actually says it is a developmental experiment. It is an awesome video to see all of the Mustangs on lifts throughout the huge factory all in various stages of completion.

Imagine an ugly roll bar jutting out from behind the driver in a convertible Dark Horse?

if the convertible had a more similar shape to the coupe and was not an extra $6k and had better chassis bracing that makes up for the lack of the roof, maybe
From the factory, the GT vert already has a massive V-brace under the rear of the car to compensate for the missing roof.

Chassis-wise, the DH just has larger sway bars, beefed-up front shocks, and that's all, right?

I just ordered the following Steeda upgrades (screenshot below) to improve my GT vert's chassis and handling. From an engineering perspective this should make it handle more like a GT500, Camaro SS 1LE, or 911.

These should fix the subframe shudder, steering response, and body flex.

With this, Pilot Sport 4s tires, and Ford Performance half shafts , I don't expect that supercharging it (if I decide to go that route after the fac warranty expires) will run the risk of twisting the chassis like it would if I supercharged the car stock.

A lot cheaper doing it this way than paying the Shelby tax, and I'm sure it's also a lot cheaper doing it this way with a GT vert than if Ford made the exact same upgrades and called it a DH vert or whatever they end up calling the GT500/cobra/boss vert.

Will let you know how it works out.

No. I didn't order one as a fastback and could have just as easily written them a check for a DH fastback.
