Hey guys, I have 4600 miles on my 25 gt, I was thinking of taking it up to Lebanon, Ohio and having them install a supercharger on it. They said the cost is 12000$ after everything, and it keeps factory warranty. I don’t have the performance package, but I also don’t track my car. I want to keep this car long term, and was wondering how reliable it would be to add the Whipple, and if I would need to upgrade anything else to keep it from breaking.

Drive it with common sense and you are good. My car doesn’t have the PP and I’ve logged 16,000 supercharged miles. I do have the Brembo’s, I think that’s important but will let others chime in. I also installed a Stop the Hop kit and went with wider wheels and tires. Traction is still an issue.

From what the ford in Lebanon told me, you keep your factory warranty, is this something they told you aswell? Or did you do a self install, thank you!

Ford or an ASE certified tech has to do the install for you to be eligible for the additional whipple warranty.

You also don't get an "unlimited" warranty on drivetrain stuff like you would with the included ford warranty. You get $9500 maximum for damages caused by the supercharger. $7500 for the motor, $2000 for transmission.

.
I like that setup.
one of the things people overlook about the warranty is a maximum 15%

Maximum 15% increase in tire size. In my case (came with 265 on rear) so the max is a 295. 305 is just over 15%.
