Hello , I was just going to message you to see how your trip to the Dragons tail with your son went. As for my FP kit I texted them they said I'm on the list and should take 4 to 7 weeks same response I got last time. Have you received yours? I have been hearing about these screen recalls but I have not been contacted yet. It is so sad the time has come that we have to put our babies to sleep for the winter.
Sorry, I meant any word on your whipple calibration from your dealership; whether it needs a revision or not.

Yes, my owners kit came a week and a half ago.

I emailed and asked Whipple support: "Did it affect your Whipple kit for Mustang GT 2024-2025 Stage 1 kit? Can people still buy it? " they said: It effects ALL mustang calibrations, nothing is available at the moment. I don't have the exacts.

I also called Lebanon Ford who installs lots of there superchargers and they couldn't even get the stage 2 upgrade calibration....were all supercharged up and no where to go....

The dealer originally promised the car by 9/9/25. They are now saying I’ll have the car by 9/12/25. 3 days later than promised isn’t a huge deal in this business, especially under the current circumstances that are outside the control of the dealership. If we get into October then it will be a different situation but as of now I do not foresee that happening.
So what is the dealer saying now that Ford is saying mid October ( notice Ford did not say 2025, it is probably going to be 2027)

Their stuck as well. They have my car with Whipple installed and cant sell it to me. They pushed it into the parking lot and that where is sits until Ford releases the calibration file.

I booked an appointment for Oil change and Coolant top off October 14th so will be checking with the Master Tech that installed my FP Whipple Stage 1. They have done several S650 Mustangs.

If nobody has heard anything by then I will post whatever deets I find out as I will be waiting in the lounge area as I booked that week off (Canadian Thanksgiving that week).

I feel for you guys that have your cars in the shop and can't actually drive them. If you are a member of the Night's Watch (ie: you live north of the wall), like me, then the weather will be turning here in about 6 weeks so hopefully ya'll get them back in your garages prior to.

I was at Lebanon Ford Performance today to pick up my RTR Spec 2 with Roush phase 2 installed.

Cameron is a great wealth of knowledge and agreed that the stage 1 and stage 2 Whipple calibrations are targeting too much timing for the fuel being used. He used a Dark Horse as an example in NY (LFP Build) that was throwing misfire codes on stage 2. The customer had a dyno shop in NY pull the data and that shop stated he would need full E85 or race fuel to run the stage 2 with no problems. Cameron also stated he had used an even bigger throttle body than what came with the kit.

Ford Performance emailed me a couple weeks ago and stated it would be mid October before any updates would be released for the Whipple blowers.

I was also told that I most likely have the only RTR Spec 2 in the country with a Roush Phase 2 Launch edition.
AND I made it halfway home before I got a reckless operation ticket and almost had my Mustang towed. Excessive speeding is expensive!

I reached out to FP and gave them my VIN. They wrote back and said

Please reach out to me in the beginning of November for an update on the calibration status. We will not have any further information until mid-October.
My car goes away first week of November usually due to the pending snow so it looks like they will have PLENTY of time until April or May of 2026 :)

"we will not have any further information" So anyone who got a whipple calibration under warranty is gonna get a free motor?

Kinda annoyed I haven't gotten anything from whipple about this, or ford.

If there is a legit concern then whipple and ford need to be upfront about it, or let me run a third party tune while retaining warranty.

You were never getting a free motor under warranty from the Whipple or FP warranty. Those cover $7500 and it's all through Whipple. Installing a SC is a self warrantied endeavor. You may get a portion back if you smoke your coyote but you're never fully covered.

I’m glad the calibration may be coming soon… now the question will be when will Ford Performance (Racing) release the kits for the 2026 models!

So why?

Is this timing issue (too far advanced for boost) speculation or confirmed?

Have there been a lot of warranty claims for Stage 1 Whipple owners?

Whipple says Ford is the hold up. Is Whipple lying?

What does Ford say?

I think the timing is speculation. When I spoke to a higher up at Whipple he told me that when the reason for the hold is made public, it will be laughable as it's so insignificant. Ford is indeed the holdup and unless something has changed in the last 24 hours, they still aren't providing calibration for the FP units. However, as of yesterday, Whipple has resumed providing calibrations for their setup.
