Not the people that they sell to.

While true at the moment, I think the goal is to adopt more of a Tesla model, where Ford either sells to customers directly or at least develops a new relationship with the dealers that allows Ford to control more of the sales process (set the sale price).
Articles like this talk about how Farley wants to segment Ford, ostensibly for more efficient operations, etc. But long term I think he wants to allow the electric vehicle division to sell just as Tesla does.
