My list looks a bit goofy because it was:
1966: A $400 used Ford sedan, blue with one green fender - something to get me to my first job out of college while I saved up for a new car. It smoked from the crankcase breather and once at a stop light a lady honked and hollered "Your car is smoking" I yelled back "It's OK lady, it's old enough!"
1966 Mustang with small V8, red with Parchment interior, that I ended up selling to my dad.
1970 low-end Ford sedan (why? I don't know and I'm embarrassed). It was the same odd color as the police cars in the town where I worked, which got me some odd stares from the cops.
1971 red Ford LTD 2-door (when my boss heard the sticker price was over $5K, he joked he was paying me too much)
1977 T-Bird loaded with everything including factory CB radio
198? T-bird with the "used bar of soap" lines - big mistake
Then in sequence three Lincoln Mk VII's and a MK VIII (1998)
2003 Mercury Marauder - friends said I could never speed in it because it looked like a police car and traffic would slow down around me. BTW, best factory sound system I have ever heard.
Aug 2012 - a 2013 Mustang V6 with whatever the deluxe package was. The car drove well but the Nav system was crap - whoever was supplying the software for Ford supplied one update that bricked the Nav/entertainment system and the whole thing had to be replaced.
May 2024 - My current GT, 80th birthday present to myself - so beware the old fart tooling around in southern AZ!

Haha! I've been a Dodge guy for a long time. I was 20 years old when I picked it up July 3rd, 2008 with about a mile on the dial. I was looking for an STI Subaru Impreza back then. But a Dodge dealer that I had a good rapport with, showed me the SRT Caliber. Fell in love with it then on the test drive, and brought it home. Was a big upgrade from a 127 hp Civic.

Fast forward 17 years, I figured it was time for an upgrade. I was looking at the new M3, C8 Corvette, WRX Impreza, and a Civic Type R. The Mustang made the most sense money wise for the power over the other options where I live. The horsepower jump is similar now going from the Civic >Caliber SRT, as is the Caliber SRT is to my GT now. Still have the Caliber though after all this time. Spend more time in the Mustang however

I dove the 06 Mustang GT for almost 18 years until it was written off Feb 12, 2024 after being t-boned by a bus. The car did a 180 and hit the traffic signal pole on the rear.
Held up really well, all things considered.
On a side note, the police were nice enough to drop me at work 3-4 minutes from the accident site .

I daily drove a 1990 FSB I got from CA for 11 years with a 408W aluminum headed stroker and ZF 542 5-speed from the F250, 4.10s and Detroit lockers. Sold it last year. Several other Fords.

This has probably been asked before, but what car(s) did you drive recently before getting your S650 Mustang? In the past several years I have gone through multiple vehicles (I have a serious problem, but no point in saving for old age. when you're already old). The only one I kept for two years was the Camaro SS which I traded for the Subaru WRX (which I loved). The only car I have come back to was the mustang (Although I did have Jeeps before the one pictured, but I am too old now to wrestle my car daily just to keep it on the road.. Having tried the big three American "Muscle" cars I decided it was the one for me. I will mist the WRX though. If only it had been available as an STI.

PS: You might also notice I do at least some graphics on each car to stand out from the pack a bit. Punisher, Deadpool, Resident Evil, Nightwing, Venture Bros.). I am thinking venom for the S650.
