This appears to me like a dynamic balance issue. It may not be applicable to every dealer, but few lube and tire men know how to use a tire balancer correctly. It sort of reminds me of the old JC Whitney level style balancer. Fine for static, darn poor for dynamic balance! Heck, even the local Discount tire gets it wrong sometimes, and they of all people should know what's up.

About 5 years ago, the same Discount Tire Store remounted another brand new tire because they couldn't dynamically balance the first one. Lousy deal, but it does happen all too often.

One more thing. If you catch any tire man pouring glass beads into a tire, GO SOMEPLACE ELSE!
it would be amazing if that is the only issue. I would imagine that the dealer would try this option…but then again I’m not hopeful. The car has been there for many months and I doubt it will ever get resolved. I don’t believe that they think it’s a big deal, but to me, it’s a huge deal.

Our dealership swapped our performance pack 19" wheels with a set of 20" wheels off of a new 2024 Mustang from their sales lot (for diagnostic purposes only, the 20" wheels are not staying on the vehicle). The oscillating vibration appeared to have been eliminated when I drove the vehicle at 68-72 mph. The dealership is going to change all 4 tires on our vehicle for us and we should get it back next week. I believe to have confirmation that the issue lies with the performance pack wheels and/or the 220 tread wear Pirelli tires that the car came with from the factory. Any updates on anyone else's vibration concern?

I have debated trying this as well. Issue I had was the dealer admitting the vibration and sound issue existed. If I knew tires would solve for it I’d happily purchase some! I shall try a new dealer and see if they are willing to try that swap test.

I would have the wheels checked for run out. The problem with this diagnosis is that they’re going to take the easy way out and push to swap tires. If you swap tires on to bad wheels, guess what you get - a vibration just like before, only you’ll leave there with no vibe because it will take a few miles to set in. At least you seem to have it narrowed down to one of 8 components. Have they ruled out a defective half shaft?

It’s also best to stick with one shop for this kind of issue, so you need to pick wisely. EVERY shop you go to is going to want to balance the wheels/tires first, and after 2 or 3 tries, that’s tiresome (no pun intended) and a vampire expense. If they were willing to swap the wheels/tires to diagnose, that’s pretty rare in my experience and shows they’re interested in solving the problem.
Buy these guys some donuts or something.

Anyone resolve front end vibration issues?
Me: 24 PP Vert, no magna-ride. Stock wheels, Perrelli P3. 67-73 mph front end vibration. Dealer rebalanced wheels, still vibrates, had outside source rebalanced, still vibrates! Nothing before 67, nothing after 73! Any suggestions or resolutions, would be greatly appreciated.

All tires were balanced multiple times. Roadforce was checked but was found to be near or at limit. Dealer said the vibration was normal, I wouldnt except that answer. We finally had all four tires replaced, that fixed our vibration around 70MPH.

I have had mine since October and have taken several long road trips. Has to be one of the smoothest riding cars I have ever owned well above 70mph 😁. I would not settle for less than that from the dealer!

It’s darn cold here now. I’ve noticed I don’t seem to get the same buzzing vibration when it’s this chilly. (30s) Makes me wonder if it’s tires or rubber somewhere that tightens up when cold and gets flexible in the heat. Took it to work on highway last week and I’d imagine if I didn’t know it was there I’d not have guessed it was an issue. Had it since 23 so I’ve seen it go back to vibrating in the summer. Mines running the Goodyear eagle a symmetric. Anyone not feeling this running something different?

Last summer I replaced tires on another car (cadillac not the S650) and had all kinds of vibration with the new tires. Rebalanced several times, replaced one tire that seemed the worst, still had vibrations... returned those tires for another brand tire... smooth as, well, a cadillac.

My dealer has replaced all 4 tires and can get them to balance. Idk what the next steps are. The filed engineer is going to come look at the car for a third time and I’ve asked ford to buy the damn car back via BBB Autoline. Cost too much to vibrate on the highway, which I drive daily.

If tires replaced and same issue, maybe have them check the halfshafts (rear axles) as some people have had issues there... otherwise the buyback may be the best bet.

Half shafts have been replaced, along with the drive shaft.
wheels maybe? Issue right now is that they cannot get the tires to balance on the wheels, I believe anyway.

I could not get the dealer to swap out a cell set of wheels off of another vehicle to test if the vibration was from the wheels or not. They said wheels were being considered, but that was 3 weeks ago.
Ford has offered to buy the car back and I’m going to head that direction. This thing has sat at the dealer for 6 months. I’m done. Prob going to try a Camaro ZL1
