Used DH HP manuals are scarce?

The HP, Recaros, and manual are musts for me. Anybody get their DH optioned out this way, used? How did you find yours?

Autotempest aggregates almost all the major classifieds sites but I'm open to other suggestions too. I either have to fly out of state or be more patient, I suppose. Or perhaps this is merely expected when looking for a specific spec of an uncommon trim?

With that spec I'm not sure to many are going to be used for sale. Value drops to quickly on them so people that wanted that spec probably are not wanting to sell yet. I wanted the HP and manual without the Recaro seats and was difficult to find. Didn't want to spend the money I did on the premium, but after looking on various websites the other day I realized I got a better deal than I initially thought. Part of the fun though for me is talking the dealers down.

i was originally looking at MACH 1s but they for some reason went up in price and got my DH with HP and every option but recaros cheaper than a mach 1 and my car only had 10k miles on it

24-25 MT DHs on offer: 113.

24-25 MT, HP DHs on offer: 34.

For either search, I did not drill down to see if I could select Recaros.

I did not select 26s.

Using Mach 1s as a reference, the numbers are equally low. When I last searched, for all Mach 1s on offer, there were 122. HP Machs: 21.

Ah thanks, I incorrectly assumed Autotempest would aggregate Autotrader as well but that was not the case.

They'll be hard to find. Dealers don't even spec them this way, most HP cars I see listed are automatics.

If you find one, it probably started life as a custom order.

Bought My Shadow black ,Dark Horse Premium, 700a ,Handling package ,Appearance package , Recaros, Tremec 6 speed, Whipple supercharger.

Autotrader gives me an idea of what's out there, what the retail prices are.

I tried Hemmings this morning, hoping to see more private listings. But there were only three DHs on offer.

Bring A Trailer has several Mustang listings. A pitfall of this site is it's auction-focused.

The 6G site has two Machs on offer. I have not been tracking 7G's listings.

People do seem to be holding on to these cars. A general estimate of Mach 1 production was 18,000 over three years. I've only seen about 200 for sale at any given time.

Some statistics from the 6G Mach registry, which I think would track with DHs:

HPs: about half.

MTs: about half. So roughly a quarter for sale would be HP/MT.

Recaros: 20% selected this option.

It might be best to focus on an HP/MT car in a color you like, then consider a Recaro conversion afterwards.

Indeed, I came to this conclusion last weekend after discussing with a friend who saw how much I went to the track with my current car - several times in the first two years, as well as a few autocrosses, then nothing since.

If I track the car more and more and feel like I need to be locked in, then sure - I can swap in a Recaro seat for those days. Otherwise, just brace my foot against the dead pedal for the twisties as usual.

Agreed and nearly identical situation. I was fairly set on getting a Mach 1, but I needed the handling package, low mileage. and leather. Also 6 speed was an absolute or zero chance I want the car. For the price, mileage, and options, it made more sense to just get a new DH vs an older used Mach 1. Mach 1 interior is getting a bit old for me too, although I still love it with the switches.
