My point was that the Magneride calibration is the same for the DH and PP cars. The "chassis tuning" verbiage is just marketing speak. They said the same thing for the Mach 1s and many people took that to mean the Magnaride was "tuned" differently. It isnt.
I got your point, and that is what robvas's link said, too, Dark Horse and Mach 1 Magneride are the same calibration, see item 6.

Hey guys!
Please, need ya help and advise! I am totally confused

I have Dark Horse about 4200lbs (stock + noise reduction)

I bought tune from Shoemaker

1. Steeda CAI
2. LTH + cats and resonator delete

My stock tune 100-200 is 10.1
My Shoemaker 93 tune (32*) 100-200 8.5
My Shoemaker e85 tune (32* also) 100-200 same 8.5!!

I thought I will have around 0.5 gain on e85, but Rob writes that
“
the log on e85 looks good to me the fueling is pretty spot on and has 32* of timing in it so im not sure why it would be slower. the 93 tune will add up to 32* as well if it doesn't pick up any knock retard so the e85 tune wont be much faster than the 93 tune if the 93 tune reaches 32*

the e85 tune doesnt make any more hp beyond 32* so its pointless to add more to it. “

so as a conclusion, my e85 tune gives gain only on middle RPM which I don’t use on drag mode ?:)

maybe You know, does Rob tune transmission that it could shift faster?
How can I gain more power on e85, please help!!!

maybe to try VP fuel c85 or 109 octane?

100-200? 100 what?

10.1? 10.1 what?

My Shoemaker 93 tune (32*) 100-200 8.5
8.5 what?

. I see that something is the same 8.5, but what is it that is the same?

That will not change anything if you are not getting knock retard. What he is telling you is that if the tune advanced the timing to 33° it would not increase power. I do not know if that is true, but, if it is, more octane is not going to increase power.

Have you run it to see whether it is faster on E85, tuned, as compared to before?

We make 100-200 km/h, not 60-130 miles/h

in stock weight and tune I have 10.1sec acceleration 100-200km/h

Shoemaker tune on 93 and 32* timing 8.5 sec acceleration 100-200 km/h

shoemaker tune in e85 and same 32* timing same 8.5 sec acceleration 100-200hm/h

before I had his tune e85 with timing up to 45* and car was slower then with 32*

I thought that on e85 I will gain 20-30whp and 0.5 sec acceleration on 100-200km/h and will be 8.0 for example (not 8.5)

so my question is - kindly let know how to raise HP and acceleration with e85, as now it has same numbers

also, as per my opinion, best result of acceleration I got on 93 octane tune with e15 (10 liters of ethanol added to the tank)

Ah! Now I will go back and re-read it. Thank you for translating it, robvas. Oddly, he lists his location as USA.

OK, so the tune netted you a very significant 1.6 second reduction in 100 kilometers per hour (kph) to 200 kph acceleration, but using E85 did not reduce the time any further.

Interesting.

I do not know where you are located, but it is November, it it may be that E85 is only going to provide you a difference in warmer weather, when 93 octane will require a reduction in timing.

You drove long enough for the computer to adjust to the new fuel (I do not know what Shoemaker recommends, but the change is not instantaneous)?

I will admit to being a little surprised that a 12:1 compression engine picks up nothing on E85. I guess this means that your engine can use maximum spark advance in spite of the 93 octane (which is why I asked where you lived so I could guess at the outside air temperature). It seems like the cooling effect would show at least a little benefit all by itself, even if not a huge one.

Thank You for clarifications, Sir, as here we don’t have a lot of proper information

yes, I heard that e85 has difference with 93 in hot weather,
This Dark Horse is in Moscow (temperature 40F), I mentioned USA, as tuners are from USA (Dark Horse - Shoemaker and Mach1 900whp - Lund)

I installed tune via VCM beta and made KAM reset and in 5 mins made 100-200 runs

1. so as far as I understand, N/A s650 + Steeda CAI + LTH with cats and resonator delete = 485whp is good result?

2. and acceleration time is the weight reduction question only?

thank You, so on Your opinion, in cold weather to use 93 tune or 93 tune+10liters of ethanol additionally to the tank?

1.6 secs less 100 - 200? That's amazing.
