I am viewing the site on an iPad. My wifi connection is good, internet speed good. Other sites load much more quickly. Am I missing a setting somewhere?

There are several variables, any of which could be impacting how a page loads.

- The brand of browser
- Anti-virus software settings
- Wireless is OK, but you content with others. Wired is better, if available
-- Wireless Internet, to the carrier, can be OK to poor. Wired service is better
- Ads and Ad-blocking software
- Other programs in use
- Plug-ins
- Processor and memory

I'm using a Mac laptop. I've found the Safari browser to be a poor performer. Web site developers do not support Safari as well as other browsers. Chrome runs much better, much faster.

If you're using Anti-Virus, study how it's setup. Sometimes, inserting a list rule will prevent anti-virus from slowing a site down. Some programs block so much it makes Internet virtually worthless.

I run wired, to the DSL modem and out to the carrier. Wireless is contention-oriented; it's half duplex. 5G Internet is also contention-based. Some legacy cable systems continue to use shared media and infrastructure.

I use Ad Blocker Pro. This has made a meaningful improvement in virtually every site I access. Some sites, like shopping sites, I will not use Ad Blocker; the program can interfere with the web pages. For these only, I use rules, to run them blocking-free.

Review whatever programs are in use. Turn off or delete what's not needed. Many programs auto-load on start or login.

Turn off any connection (cable, bluetooth, wireless) not needed. Leaving these on allows them to search and attempt to connect to other resources, and waste the pool of memory, disk or line bandwidth.

Processors and memory can be an issue, if using a really old system. Activity Monitors and other software can highlight how well the user hardware is working. Some web sites are resource-intensive. 7G is not one of them.

I'd take each of these variables one at a time, study them, make one change. See how that goes before attempting another adjustment.

Virgin (🫢) Safari mobile (as in phone) seems ok although the popup preview movie player at the bottom does seem to be a resource hog/battery drain. While i understand the intent just wish it didn’t consume so much.

Running chrome on iPad. Plugins active. Not private mode.
I’d try private mode, if that works ok i’d then try disabling plugins one by one. Sometimes even an external font can cause a drag/delay (not unique to here, just in general - heck i’ve see cases where the tracking script actually causes the delay).

Mustang6g.com was having the same problem at the same time so it's likely something to do with the host or software these sites run on

POS for me since day 1. Hard wired desk top; Win 10 Pro with Firefox, no unnecessary apps/programs running in the back ground.

Every visit here I have to log in multiple times. 1: I'm logged in already, but when I click on the "post reply" button I get a prompt telling me I have to be logged in to post. 🤷‍♂️ 2: After I log in again the site has dropped most or all of my post so I either have to retype it, or I preemptively type my post in MS Word then copy and paste it into the post text box; in case it gets deleted during the unnecessary relogin. 🤷‍♂️ 3: When I click on the "Forums" tab at the top of the page to return to the active threads list the site auto logs me out. 🤷‍♂️ 4: My typing cursor is summarily dropped from posts AS I'm typing them; including 16 times for this post alone. 🖕

I have tried heavy usage of unChristianly language to no avail. 😉

Other than those it's NP. 😆

They're enabled; though I use CCleaner to wipe my system every day. BTW: Page swapping/loading NOT slow at all; that aspect o9f the site is fine.

At first I tried accessing this website with my slightly older ipad 11 and it was unbearable. It kept locking up, freezing and was impossible to load with all the ads and stuff. I thought I’d not be able to join this site and use it.

A few weeks after, I got a new ipad A16 for like $250 and this website loads like a breeze! You really need the latest ipad to load this site and navigate it. Now it’s no problem.

The only ipad quirk is, I have to hit SAVE twice every time I post.

First step, clear cache of your browser.

If that doesn't work, most everything else I can think of has been covered, except changing your DNS servers. I don't expect most people to know how to do this, but it can have a huge effect if your routing table takes you in the wrong direction. Google and Cloudflare are the two main DNS, and often times I'll bounce between them.

Clearing out your browser cache/cookies with CCleaner could certainly explain your issues with having to continuously log back into the site to post.

I'm not quite sure what you're getting up to on your PC where doing that daily is necessary, but maybe try shifting that to once a week/month and see if that resolves any of your current issues.
