Smallest decent dashcam?? Currently I'm looking at a VIOFO A119 Mini 2 but from what I understand I cannot add a rear view camera?
Any other small sized cameras where I can have both front and rear facing units?
Not looking for bulky units.

I just installed this one and chose it because of its small form factor and remote monitoring capabilities. Relatively easy to install once you decide on a location for the box and in my situation, a battery for parking mode.

Anyone have a suggestion for a good quality dash cam that also acts as a 360 degree sentry while car is parked to keep an eye out and turn on if anyone gets too close or bumps into it, etc

finally installed my dash cam, Viofo 229A Pro. works great, but here's a tip for anyone who gets the Viofo hardwire kit: run constant power to fuse 31 (used for RTM, Audio Control Panel, GWM, IPC), and switched to fuse 2 (used for window controls and locks). they are both 10A (red) and the only two non-double-sided 10A fuses in the BCM

yep, the BCM is on the passenger side

Dash Cam Install

I've been putting this off for over three weeks now.

Probably the thought of having to pull off trim pieces, but know this, it's an easy install.
Especially if your Mustang isn't a daily driver (not needing parking recording all day long) and using the rear view mirror USB port.

I make no apologies for the length, 21 minutes, as the aim is to show everything that's involved.
A lot of install videos gloss over things.

Timecode chapters are there, if you want to skip through bits.

Grab a beer, coffee, whatever takes your fancy...

Ah thanks have exactly the same model but with the hardwire kit in addition, this will help me a lot! Didn't know the mirror USB was powered for at least an hour (thought it was like 30 min after turning the car off, but more than an hour is not bad), I might skip the hardwire install completely.

I was thinking placing the camera in the little notch where the sensors' housing does an L shape.

Any reason why the static sticker would not be recommend on the rear window? I think you mentioned the heating stripes for the window and not much the tint film.

I chose not to use the static sticker because I didn't know how well it would tolerate the heat from the rear window demister wires. Just being overly cautious probably.
If you do fit it, let us know how you go.

Anyone know if the a329 Viofo goes into park mode when plugged into the usb by rear view mirror, or if it has to be hardwired?
