If you buy the 24 GT or DH you will be paying a gas guzzler tax. Uncle Sam has already ruled on that.
There's no gas guzzler on GT

There's no gas guzzler on GT
From May4, 2023 Car and Driver: Buyers interested in the 2024 Ford Mustang fitted with the revised 5.0-liter Coyote V-8 will be paying at least $1000 more than previously expected. The price increase is a result of the new seventh-generation pony car getting hit with a gas-guzzler tax, which applies to vehicles that don't meet federal fuel-economy standards. Originally, the manual-equipped Mustang GT coupe had a base MSRP of $43,090, but now that jumps to $44,090 after adding the $1000 gas-guzzler tax. This also affects the GT Premium coupe and convertible models, which see their starting prices rise to $48,610 and $54,110, respectively.

true, but a 10hz panel can more than handle the rate of change in speeds, and a 0.1hz screen can handle the temperatures.

And anyway it's probably an IPS panel.
my 2016 Ducati has a LED gauge cluster that is exposed to every weather condition. It's positively crude compared to the ones you can find on 2020+ bikes both in color and resolution, and now attached to bikes costing 10K instead of 16K. Are the new panels actually better? Do they convey more or important info in a more accessible manner? Nope. For all the $$ and googah and 4 million colors, it hasn't advanced diddly squat.

In the near future LG Display will introduce cutting-edge automotive displays based on its key technologies such as P-OLED and LTPS LCD, automotive AMOLED IPs. BTW, LG has already shown this technology at CES 2023.

Car and driver isn't a source. Here's an actual window sticker.

I'd prefer if you were right. Where did this window sticker come from?

Nvm, I didn't refresh the page before someone asked and you answered.

the amount or applicability of Guzzler has everything to do with "inception date" vis a vis Legal effective date, and transmission choice. For example back in 2022 the manual GT got a Guzzler rider but only after a certain date, no matter the ones before were still VIN MY2022 cars.

It's 2023, how long do we need to appeal to technophobes?
As long as it may take to create a car with the tech you’d like as much as a Mustang. That one’s been taken 50+ years ago. Now get to work… Or maybe it really is the Mach E you’re after. :giggle:

The window sticker states the Mustang has an automatic transmission, the tax is for Mustangs with V8 and manual transmissions.

Oops. You're correct! Looks like we need a manual window sticker still.

Which would rather have: an electric car take can 0-60 in 3.1 seconds or V-8 GT that can go 0-60 in 4.6 seconds?

latter of course. Hell, it could take 6.4 seconds and I'd still choose the V8
Car "acceleration" is a sad, pathetic joke. You want acceleration ride a motorcycle. Even better a MC leans which is 1000x more fun than some non-tilting car.

As someone that currently drives an electric car that does 0-60 in 3.5 seconds, I'd rather have the V8 (and will hopefully have one soon).
