Subwoofer for 9 Speaker System?

Curious if anyone has had success adding a subwoofer to their 9 speaker audio system? was thinking of using the same location as the B&O uses to save space, probably a 10 inch woofer? small amp? thanks

researched this more and found that using a small powered subwoofer may be simpler and take less space. either install it in passenger front footwell or in the trunk where the b&o goes. may go 8 inch. waiting on my local stereo shop to reopen after holidays to get more info.

I would get a quality custom setup over the pre made powered sub combo. A custom made box and amp setup would sound better. Also you’ll need a crossover that works with the car to get the bass from the front to to the rear sub output. The one I was looking at was $200. Others may have more detailed info that I do. Just my opinion.

Look on the 6g forum… big post on replacing the sub. I did it and I thought it woke it up. I don’t know the model number but it was a Pioneer. I’ll be taking it out of my 2019 and putting it in a 2024 that I will be getting soon.

Audio Designs and custom graphics over in Florida made my box that fits in that area. They make it with a couple different subs or with it unloaded and they’ll add the faceplates if you have a different sub in mind. I did sundowns SAv2 subs for mine.
320 for it unloaded
+249 audio dynamic sub
They have hertz and morel if you prefer either of those for a higher upcharge

second pic is my 24 jeep in mind they had to add 5 faceplates to allow the magnet to clear the back of the box. Otherwise should resemble the first pic
