At least this is what they claim:

Product Benefits
  • Improves front chassis stiffness
  • Improves ride quality over rough surfaces
  • Improved vehicle handling
  • 10% lighter than the factory Ford Strut Tower Brace
  • Allows easy access to the oil dipstick
What do you suppose they mean by "Improves ride quality over rough surfaces?" Does this refer to better handling on rough surfaces, or ride comfort on regular streets?

For what it's worth, I don't think the Ford strut brace will fit the towers correctly with out the k-brace under it. I discovered that when I went to install mine.
American Muscle is 218 and includes the K-Brace. Wanted Mishimoto 265 and fairly light. Steeda was cheaper. But Ford is a great deal for both braces. She's going to be a nice street car and highway cruiser.

Meh. Seems subjective to me. I doubt anyone would feel a difference in normal driving. I didn't. The objective is to reduce body roll and flex in the twisties, and look cool under the hood.

I hear they're badly needed with 20"s. Guess there's more flex. From what I hear Mustangs with 20s come with STBs. I wanted to get them on my new project, but read if you hit a pothole the sidewall will rip, and a tow truck could be needed. Plus it was mentioned 20s ride real rough. I'll wear out these 18s then spring for new wheels that are 19s.

Mine has 20’s As a GT Premium, I can confirm it came with the steel cowl brace Because of the 20” rims. I just installed the tower brace but haven’t driven it yet, got sidelined with back issues
.ugh.

With 20’s the ride may be firmer than 18’s or 19’s, but compared to 18 years driving my 06 Mustang GT lowered with Eibachs, the ride is a helluva lot smoother!

I had 20's on my 2015 (which did not come with a factory brace). I don't think there is significantly more danger of damaging the sidewalls than a 19". The ride quality is a marginally worse, but the tire choice also greatly impacts that. They do look super nice though.

I really like 20s, the optional ones you get on the 400A. We made sure my brother and his wife had them on their 24 401As.
