Wilwood says:
Most modern stock brake systems work well for average daily street driving and an occasional 60-0 or 80-0 stopping. Typically performance enthusiasts, who occasionally compete in racing events, push the stock brake system beyond its capabilities. Driving style, and other...
This theoretical discussion seems never ending. I expect some laboratory has done tests, but I don’t know of any. Does anyone have actual, measurable experience in braking performance by enlarging rotors?
never mind the feel of the brake pedal, I mean the absolute stopping distance

If the stock system isn’t a limiting factor:
Then the brakes already generate enough force to trigger ABS under hard braking, meaning the tires are skidding (controlled by ABS).
In that case, adding larger discs won’t stop you faster, because the tires are already doing all they...
Here’s what ChatGPT says:
[Bigger brakes can’t]
Guarantee shorter stopping distances—because ABS regulates brake force to avoid wheel lockup. On dry pavement, the limiting factor is usually tire grip, not brake hardware.
So when will larger discs help stop shorter?
When stock brakes...
Please help me understand what I’m missing here. Assuming that whatever brakes you have can lock the wheels, what difference does it make If you have bigger brakes, since ABS controls the braking near locked wheel conditions.
Racetrack heat buildup is another thing.
Unless you’re talking about brake pedal feel, which seems important (it feels good) but probably doesn’t contribute to stopping distance.
I don’t know how precisely the ABS works. If you had a tiny disc, it may be that the ABS couldn’t keep up with the required variations in brake fluid...
I understand that larger discs increase leverage, but does that matter? It seems like if you could lock the tires up with a smaller disc then you have plenty of leverage and it’s all up to the ABS after that point.
I would like to change the steering ratio, to turn a bit quicker per degree rotation of stg wheel. Anyone know if this can be done?
I know the '25s have electronic power steering. That might be a window into doing this.
Thanx, guys.
My car has the basic brakes. I wonder if there's any way to reduce stopping distance on the streets, with brakes that are not really hot.
My car has Pirelli P0 AS +3 tires, same size as original tires, and I've swapped the rubber brake lines for stainless braid lines (more solid feel).

I’ve been confused about this nomenclature. I believe what I have is simply the GT. I contacted a moderator to see how I can change this. Sorry for the confusion.
Greetings. Anyone have any experience to compare the in-cabin noise of Ford's
