Some things I never thought about that I absolutely love in my new Mustang

The ungodly power, aggressive body style, giant infotainment screens, and gorgeous stitched leather interior, plus all the cargo space sold me on the GT Premium on the test drive. A couple of things I thought were gimmicks have really grown on me though and I honestly don't know if I would want to live without them ever again.

Cooled seats

I know heated seats have been around forever but this was something new to me that I absolutely love. Having my arsehole chilling on every ride has brought me to a level of comfort I don't think I'll ever go without again. I'm a sweat hog and boy does this make a difference on long trips.

Active exhaust

Slight horse power bump and fun noises at the touch of a button sure. It puts a grin on your face in track mode. But anyone can do a loud exhaust practically for free. But the real value I didn't really expect was on long highway drives putting it in silent mode. It does make a huge difference in cabin noise and gets rid of almost all engine noise. It makes long rides much more pleasant.

Two things that were afterthoughts have turned into two of my favorite features.

If you press 'auto' on day one and set the temperature you never need to touch the settings again. In 6 years in my S550 I NEVER touched the climate controls - it was on 'auto' the whole time.

I need it on "blast" on a hot summer afternoon when starting out until the car's cabin cools off, then I turn the fan down lower.

Kevi, agree 100%.

I now find myself looking for an excuse to drive somewhere. Haven’t had that urge since I had my Prowler. My 06 GT was cool, but the lowered suspension made for uncomfortable ride, stiff steering, and the seats were not that great.

the cooled seats are nice, and considering Ford limited the interior and roof colors on the ragtops, when you are baking your ass off in black leather seats in the Florida sun it was the least they could d for those of us who can keep the top down year round.

My 07 GT Premium ragtop had a great color scheme and was great for warmer weather.

Unfortunately Ford gave me zero options for roof color on the 2024 car

Yeah I've got cloth seats in my jeep. Not sure why leather is even an option. It's not like the top is practical to re-install if it starts raining. Those seats are going to get abused.

There are lots of fancy seat covers though that you can get in any color you want. I imagine some are breathable to work with heated and cooled seats.

Which is EXACTLY what 'auto' does to rapidly cool the car down. Ford have three settings on 'auto' (1,2 or 3 bars) which determine how much the fan can spin up if required. On 3 it will use maximum fan speed and maximum cooling until the car reaches the required temperature and then slow down to maintain it, or the opposite in cold weather. Try it - it will just work!

I'm with @Gregs24 on the climate. rarely do I touch it.

Now the Carplay icon. On the far right. That little bastard could be way over to the left on the screen. I have to lean forward quite a bit to reach it. Often I miss it when driving and have to grip the back of the screen with my four fingers and hit it with my thumb. Who knows... maybe I have T-Rex arms.
