It's the black sealer silicon. It's messy, but not hard. Just know you get one shot at proper orientation on the decklid. Triple check it and use a grease marker to make lines. The spoiler mating surface curves and it's really easy to slide the spoiler up too high on the decklid without realizing it. You have to look at the contour from the sides. The first time I screwed it up.

I tell ya, between installing the rear louvers, side louvers, front splitter, rear spoiler, and trunk blackout panel with nothing but 3M tape and silicone, knowing you basically have one shot to get it right, my nerves were shot by the time I finished them all. It was friggin nerve wracking!

To anyone putting the Air Design Spoiler on, the best thing is to pull out 2” tabs of the 3M release tape so it sticks out from under the spoiler, position the spoiler, tape it down in several spots with masking tape, and once in place, pull those 3M tape release tabs out from under it and lock it in.

Thanks. I had a local shop paint the spoiler, but did my own install. I don't have the equipment, or expertise to do this kind of paintwork the right way. Vapor blue is not the easiest to match either since it shifts in color depending on the light and angle. The shop actually did a couple spray outs and had the car on hand to get the shade correct.

My base Dark horse came with the double decker/sandwich cookie spoiler that I never cared for. Out by me every ecoboost has a handling pack wing so I didnt want to go that direction. Settled on a body matched gt performance pack wing- oem take off from ebay, I then added the black polyurthane gt pp gurney flap from Nytop. Very happy with how it turned out especially after removing my hood decals.

Nice, can you add a photo with a more bright background ? I would like to see the contrast of the flap with respect to the whole car. I have a white GT and looking to add the same . Thanks

I was looking at this spoiler. I have the Performance Pack Sooiler which I am not a fan of and prefer this one. I wonder if mounting holes would be visible after I remove and apply this one?
