Like I said not trying to say anyone is better. I was just surprised you get hung up from first to second just never heard of that. Now I'm wondering if you meant going from second to third because I have done that many times in forty five years of driving stick. I'm also curious how much better the aftermarket shifters are. I have a short through in my 06 GT but I find the Dark Horse stock shifter feels nice. Anyhow I'll concede to your knowledge and experience as I was not looking for a competition.
Oh no, I didn't take it that way and my reply was really meant to be fun and lighthearted. I don't know why I struggled with quick shifts to 2nd in my sample. Had no problem on the shift to 3rd.

No expertise here, I have theories though, maybe 1) Trying to shift so fast synchros can't synchro, or 2) slop in the drivetrain shifting the gear gate location at full torque. The MGW unit really helps to define the shift gates while also reducing the throw. I put in solid motor mounts to remove any slop introduced by motor torque.

A friend of mine has left his 2016 GT-350 stock since he brought it home. I let him drive my car after I put the MGW in... and now the only mod on his car is an MGW shifter lol.

Adding another +1 to the MGW for the Dark Horse.

I did request the extended stock so that it's as close to stock height as I could get... The stubby is a little outside of my comfort zone LOL

The Shift Knob is from Billetworkz.

Well, I usually have my bellhousing or in my 06 It has a scatter shield. I have them centered with a dial indicator and adjustable engine dowels. My point is they can be out of round and this can cause missed high rpm shifts in any gear. That may be something also worn pilot bushing can cause. However nice that the shifter worked for you. Is your car Tremec equipped?.

Yes, it's a 6 speed Dark Horse. Thanks, I'll keep that in mind when I eventually pull the transmission to replace my stock clutch.
