S650 Brake Noise Inside Car

Hi All,

I had a problem since day 1 in the car, which i recently fixed and wanted to share for benefit of all.

After the car is at normal operating temperature, The brake pedal squeaks, it even happened when the auto cruise control was driving and braking.

I had reported it 3 times to agency and was told technicians checked it and its a normal sound due to auto braking.

Recently I told the agency the sound is not normal and I will raise a legal complaint, they told me what do you want us to replace? I said try the brake booster. They agreed to attempt a resolution.

The noise completely went away, and works like a charm now with zero sound. I hope this helps if someone faces same sound.

I cannot hear the squeak in the video, but that doesn't mean it isn't there. I had a squeak in my 2019 Ranger just as you pressed the peddle, and it was irritating. I mentioned this to one of the service writers. While Ford didn't have a fix, he did. It turned out the rod from the pedal to the power booster has a rounded tip. A small amount white grease fixed the issue. Whether there was ever a TSB on this, I can't say.
