heavily considering getting a 3D printer, maybe make some custom Mustang parts with it. first thought was a hood vent, maybe out of polycarbonate so it holds up well and prints fast. second thought was an adapter for the Lincoln Corsair cupholder so it fits better. would anyone be interested in that? cant promise it will happen, but more interest will make it more likely. idk what i would price the adapter at, but the hood vent would likely be anywhere from $75 to $150

yesterday i installed the Titanium Cat-Back by Valved Exhausts with the double H pipe. it sounds incredible, i love every second of it. for the price, i was a little worried, but while i am not a metals expert, i could guess by the light weight and the sound from tapping on it that it was actual titanium. my Mustang now sounds like a race car on sport and track exhaust modes. i will upload clips soon-ish

Yeah I’m curious.

i have an H pipe on order and was thinking headers in spring time but not sure if that would be a little too obnoxiously loud.

autocross season has started again. i was once again the slowest in SSP, but considering the other three in that class are a 2022 Porsche Cayman GTS, 2016 Porsche 911 GT3RS, and 2016 Porsche 911 GT3RS, i think being only 4 seconds behind the fastest time is respectable. all of the others were using racing tires like Pilot Sport Cup 2 R and such, while i was on Pilot Sport 4S with a ~900lbs weight disadvantage. once i get those V720 ACR tires, i cant even begin to imagine how fast i will be around the course

Dude, are you seriously not rubbing on the front with those giant ass tires? LOL. I was considering going up to 20"s, keeping OEM width, and going down to a 285/30ZR20, and I'm still worried about rub ROFL. Just seems like such a tiny gap when at steering lock to be going up an inch in wheel size.. hopefully the lower sidewall will make up for it though. Love the dedication with your build brotha.

so, the whole setup rubs a little bit. the fronts and rears do so when the suspension is highly compressed, which has lead to wear on the outer edge of the rear tires from the quarter panel and the front tires grinding down the fender flares to the point where they are nearly falling off. the fronts also rub a little on the inside of the fender liner, but only when the steering is at lock. none of it is really worth worrying about, though, any damage is purely cosmetic and does not affect durability or handling

just realized i forgot to post a picture of the installed system. here it is
S650 Mustang roket's Dark Horse - "Azureus" Project 1727124111136-uw

little note for anyone else who gets one of these cat-back systems, you will notice a sort of burning oil type smell for the first 250 or so miles. mine did that, but does not anymore

3 questions - who makes the exhaust?, And given your wheel tire package I also want to run 11/12’s but 20’s. What would you suggest. I’d run 315/335’s max., What was the sunglasses holder mod?

the exhaust is by Valved Exhausts
i think 20s would be too big and you would have worse rubbing issues than i do
the sunglasses holder mod changes out the part of the dash near the driver's door for the one from the convertible that has the sunglasses holder drawer

since i now have a 3D printer and some CAD knowledge, i was thinking about making a bespoke widebody/fender flare kit. it would probably be replacement fenders with bolt on flares for the front bumper, rear bumper, and quarter panel, with a replacement side skirt. not sure whether to print it in PAHT-CF or PA6-GF, but i think im also gonna need a 3D scanner to properly recreate the parts

Either would work nylon is tough with good impact and stress resistance but tricky to print with due to layer adhesion and shrinkage. What printer are you using?

Bambu Lab X1 Carbon, probably gonna be getting the 0.4mm Diamondback nozzle soon but currently have the hardened steel 0.4mm nozzle
