Personally, I'd order a new rim. Stuff like that drives me crazy. I wouldn't be able to sleep at night knowing I had a scratched rim. 😉

Your curb feeler subscription is about to expire.
Just need to relocate and aim the cross traffic sensors, could even potentially cause a mirror camera to activate. 🤔

I scuffed both front rims on my DH. Had a 2012 and never curbed it of course.
Local shop charged me $260 to repair both (including R&R). I can’t tell where they were repaired. Looks like new. I’d find a good shop to repair before I’d buy new rims.

Cauf E. Bean,
I also use convex mirrors. I install them on all my cars and have done so since my 1964 Chevy Impala SS . The ones I installed on my Stang are actually frameless. In the attached picture, it appears there is a frame, but it is just the edge of the mirror. As you can see, there is plenty of usable space for normal viewing, and if mounted as I have, the blind spot indicator is not an issue. If you haven't used them before, you can't imagine how useful they can be. It really gives you a great view, including the lane next to you. I will say you have to train yourself; in my case, I look at the convex mirror first and then the normal view. But then again, I trained myself 61 years ago. If parallel parking is a concern, I set my #2 driver profile to lower my mirrors, and the convex mirrors help with that as well. Glenn

I marred the very outside edge of one of my rims. I thought I might need to see a shrink but after a couple of weeks I got over it. I will get it repaired in the Spring. Glenn

Between knowing how to drive with mirrors and blind spot indicators on the mirrors I find there is no need for these. If they help you then use them.

Maybe I should've asked him if he likes those fake bullet stickers. I could've told him I could give him real ones in the calber of his choice. He could use them to grate cheese for his 🌮🌮🌮.

Ford used to include a convex mirror portion on Mustangs standard.

They also had driver-facing LED turn signals in the hood vents of 2016 Mustang GTs standard. And LED lighting in the auto transmission stalk to show D R N etc. And paddle shifters on Ecoboosts standard until 2021.

As someone who has been following Mustangs over the past decade, just feels like they're stripping away and cutting corners

Depends on how bad the scuff/scrape is. I had a minor one on one of the Sparcos on my RS, and used a wide tipped black Sharpie twice a year to keep it covered up. Two coats. 👍

My Toyota 86 had silver alloy rims with black spokes, I could tidy up kerbing marks with a dremel and it looked OK. The next car had copper faced spokes and rims, really hard to match. So I was super careful and never kerbed them. I then sold that car to a mate and when we next visited he'd
seriously gouged both front wheels. I nearly cried.

I need silver but will give it a try. Thanks for the suggestion! Glenn
