I took in my first Mustang and the dealer said they had to keep it two days to make sure the stuff cured correctly. I would assume some dealers may be different but needles to say I will not be doing the recall on my other one, since I don't trust my vehicle to sit at a dealer over night.
They put on a new windshield, b/c they damaged the one that was on there, and did the recall in one day. Dropped off around 10 am and picked up around same time next morning.
6 hours and then half a day to clean the caulk and oil smudges off the car (had an oil change done at the same time). Also had to return to dealer to fix the windshield shroud. That was a 5 minute fix.
Things to check when you pick up your car.....
- make sure windshield shroud is seated properly.
- check outside and inside of car for stray caulk.
