Question about lowering springs

Hello all,

This past weekend I started to work on lowering my GT with the Ford Performance street lowering spring kit. I started with the front and after a few hours and extreme dehydration from the FL heat, I was finished.

The following day I noticed the front ride height isn’t even. The driver’s side sits lower, while the passenger side is roughly 0.5 inches higher.

I was very careful during the installation, following the instructions and using the CJ Pony Parts installation video along with a few others as references. I’m confident everything was installed correctly and torqued to spec, so I’m not sure what’s causing the height difference.

I’ve read that the springs may settle after driving the car for a while and eventually even out, but I’m not sure how accurate that is.

For reference, I still need to install the rear springs and plan to get a full alignment afterward. I’m just curious if anyone else has experienced this or has any ideas on what might be causing the uneven front ride height. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

So to your question, yes, they will settle. They will settle at their own pace; one side may settle before the other, but they will settle to the height they are to be.

I run Steeda ultimate handling for Magnaride, and I had the same thing happen. Though my setup hung unsprung for about 30 mins, then the car was sat down.
