Press and release and you're talking to the Ford Assistant (car bot). See your owner's manual for commands. I usually use it to change HVAC temperature.

Press, hold until the beep, then let go and you're talking to Siri or Google Assistant (if your phone is connected), so whatever commands you use with your phone - it's just passing them through.

EDIT: That's the voice button (face speaking icon). What's a phone button?

Good question. The manual directions say to push the phone button to answer a call or to hang up. BUT on the 2024 there is no phone button! We had one through the 2023 model year, but it was deleted for 2024 and you have use the screen - which means looking over at the screen to find the button since there is no "hard" button that you can simply feel, or wait for the person you called to hang up.

You can answer a call by pressing the Ok button, but you have to touch the screen to hangup. Even my Bronco has a phone button on the wheel. I think they were trying to channel their inner Elon when they designed the buttons, instead of the tacked-on extensions like the S550 had.

when you're getting a call you can click on OK on the steering wheel to pick it up. It would've been nice if a "phone" pop-up would appear on the dash while you're on the phone, with the option to click OK again on your steering wheel to hang up. I think it's something they can easily add with an update.

They need to fix this through a simple update to hangup by pressing OK button (just like answering) as it is annoying most of the time to touch the screen. :frown:

My 2024 touch screen doesn't even give me a hang up option, let known the wheel. I can answer the phone on the top of the screen, but that all goes away when I am on a call, using Android Auto at least. I only roll with Android Auto on. Sometimes Android Auto doesn't engage, I have to go through some steps to make that work again which generally breaks the GPS map, found a step to bring that back again too. No hang-up the call so far. My 2024 uses Alexa. Maybe I can say, "Alexa, hang up!" the problems with that is, if my CEO is still on the call, he might hear that.

If your call is through the phone<->Bluetooth connection, then you have to get out of Android Auto to get to the number pad with the hang up button. IIRC, If AA is on the screen (e.g, Google Maps or Waze) while I'm on a call, I can just press the round Sync button in the upper left corner, it exists AA and the phone/hangup pad is there.

Could we get Sirius with different accents? I want one with an Indian accent of South India. Might get me in trouble with my Indian wife. 🤔

Ok using AA,

I noticed on the left hand side of the screen is a PHONE button, click that and you get the phone options.

This said, it is still mind numbing to have to go through all the screens to just hang up.

BUT HEY, as someone here said use the voice commands, so when you need to hang up just hold the voice button and when prompted say "hang up" <-- yeah, that is better
