Yep now I’m positive it’s a speed limiter. In the EU they have mandated for companies to put them on their cars
Everybody seems to be ignoring your post but yes, speed limiter.

It's been part of the European ACC system for years

When applied it provides a soft limit to speed, either as determined by the driver or as per the speed limit recognition if ICC is fitted.

yep, manuals have adaptive cruise with lane keeping. automatics have adaptive cruise with stop and go and lane centering.

i have no idea what the button is for, nearby it is already the button for on/off, follow distance, set speed + and -, lane keeping/centering, and cancel/resume
That turns on/off the adaptive portion of the cruise control

I'm guessing you didn't read posts 29 and 30.
Doesn’t mean I’m not right my guy. My wife’s 2023 expedition has the same button

the Expedition does not have this button, maybe you're talking about the cruise control on/off button?

the new build and price pictures offer a clue to what it does
it has to do with adaptive cruise control, but not lane centering or the stop and go feature

it's weird that Ford would give it a new icon instead of the "LIM" button, and i cant say i've ever seen that speed limiter feature in the US, though maybe i've just missed it. i guess it's possible that's it, but i have my doubts

If you look at speed limiter buttons for most car makers they are the same / similar. LIM is fine in English but not much use in other markets.

now that the owner's manual is released, it looks like the button turns on and off the Intelligent Speed Limiter. @Emberglo you were right
