I feel like I saw a thread on this but can't find it. I dont see why ford can't come up with an update that keeps the same notification center screen (same as when the phone rings) to hang up from the steering wheel. Seems so wierd you can answer the phone hands free but cannot hang the phone up without touching the screen. Im not missing anything am I? Is there some setting i have not found?

It’s the same button on the wheel that answers and hangs up, I believe.

I sort of agree with this, save for one point.

I'm used to using the Sync in my 2019 Ranger, and it is easier to use and you can disconnect using the SW buttons. But as the Mustang manual so states, you need to hold the button for about 2 seconds, and it switches the function to your iPhone (can't say if it works with an Android phone). Then Siri will indeed hang up the phone. Nonetheless, the function is not shall I say, handy!

As an alternative, you can set an iPhone to listen for "Hey Siri" which will also sort of work. PITA in any case!

Sorry, which button are we talking about? The “OK” button? That would reset my consumption counter if it is on the dash at that point. I use siri all the time but it is odd to shout before end of the call to the other site “Hey Siri, hang up” as few people already called me back asking what did you want to say yet? Ahhh. Nothing. Just hang up the f… phone!!!!! 😂

So the “OK” button actually accepts the call? Wow, I guess the next time I have a call coming in I will see if that works. If I’m not mistaken, I’ve tried that before and nothing changed and still ended up having to touch the Center Panel to accept the call.

Try using the OK button to hang up, too, and report back to us.

No. It is the top left button, on the right side of the steering wheel which looks like a person talking. It has a short push function and a long push function. The latter is the build in ones on my iPhone (Siri in my case).

The exasperating part is, the built in Sync function (short push) is very limited in what it can do. For example, you cannot say... "Hang up" or "End Call" because it doesn't recognize these commands. It will however make a call by using a name. As I mentioned, I'm spoiled as my 2019 Ranger will do much more without a bunch of rigamarole. Heck, I find it hard to change radio channels using Sync, as it usually says "I didn't understand the command. Please say again"! Nutz!

yes on mine when a call comes in the center of the screen between the tach and speedo shows the call coming in and you can hit ok to accept or down arrow and ok to reject.

Did not work. Held button for more than 5 seconds and ended up touching the Screen to disconnect. 😖

Next time, I will try that to see if I get that same option for incoming. That would be cool but still doesn’t solve the hang-up problem being hands free.
