People keep saying the 24 looks like a Camaro....but I mean look at this older Mustang...I think this looks way more like a Camaro

It's the hood and rear fenders of the S650 that are definitely Camaro. The boxier design of the S650 targeted the Mopars.

Ford just wanted to attract the potential Camaro and Mopar buyers. I don't see anything wrong with that.

I mean there was one point in history when the Camaro, Mustang, Challenger and Javelin all had the exact same front fascia.....

Pure American muscle. 💪

I will say the S650 is the least attractive of the modern American muscle/sport cars. The Mopars just scream muscle, but the buyer demographics is whack. Widebody Mopar are just badass. The S550 and 6G Camaros are well-balanced in design. Just a beautiful design for both...merging of sportiness with muscle (specially the 1LEs, GT350, M1 and GT500).

The S650 feels like a marketing compromise. But better than nothing.

Holy cow...10 years old, 34k miles (ok that's not much) and still $56k? It's a manual though. And why the heck does it get power Recaros and Mustangs don't...
There's a whole lot special with the 13 and 14 GT500's. Those where the last Shelby cars that he designed before he passed. In factory stock trim makes 662hp and goes over 200mph.

I certainly tried my best on my 2013 GT500 to get over 200 but this Florida air and winding back roads just suck!!

Yeah I'm in GA so the air and altitude is similar. Randy Pobst went 202mph I think. Of course that was on a closed course out Midwest with good air and when the temps were cooler. I'm sure it's still an awesome feeling just owning a car that u know is capable of over 200 factory stock without it being a half million dollar car. LOL

Okay, I’m gonna let y’all in on a big secret that isn’t a secret. All the current automotive designers are probably around the same age, probably went to the same limited schools, use the same software, go through the same software training from the same vendors and network with the same people regardless of what company they work for, so it all makes sense.

I guess I have a wonky eye for esthetics compared to some others here, because I think the S650 is gorgeous, the 6th gen is a good looking car too especially compared with previous gens save the 1st, but the 2024 GT is the best look Mustang built since the '70s. I've never had trouble distinguishing either from a Camaro.
