Didn't see a thread about oil reports and thought maybe we could compile all reports into one thread for reference. I just received my first oil change report from Blackstone. Everything seems to be inline with the first oil change reports I've seen.

Ford isn't stupid. They know what works in a brand new engine for break in. If they didn't there would be a scrap pile full of them and forums would be reporting such.

From the reports posted where the hot viscosity is barely 9 when it should be in the 10's.

As previously mentioned the flashpoint seems off for no fuel dilution.
Could be other viscosity modifiers
I didn't asking what the Blackstone reports said. I have been getting those for decades.

I asked for the citation that proves Ford does not put 5W30 in at the factory.

Gen 3 engine, but my initial results were similar:

- High copper
- High silicone
- Lower-than-expected flashpoint
- Lower-than-expected viscosity
- No appreciable coolant
- No appreciable fuel

Recently completed my third oil change. I expect to see my numbers close, if not at, universal averages. Results thus far have shown slow, steady characteristic changes in the right direction.

IDK what they put in the engines at the factory, but I feel it isn't the same 5W-30 Motorcraft oil we get off the shelf. I do believe something is added to or is part of the factory fill.

Ford's producing millions of engines. Not every owner is as considerate or aware of the break-in process as we are. I think Ford has a unique factory fill which gives them assurance things will wear properly very early on. I don't think doing so is unique to Ford or the Coyote.

No proof. Just a belief.

YMMV.
