Today I had the first oil change done on our 2024 GT at 3,000 miles. I scrolled over to the digital gauges and was surprised to see that the oil pressure ranged from as low as 24 psi at idle to as high as 90 to 100 psi at around 4,000 RPM. The engine was up to normal operation temps. Is this normal?

Thank you, I was blown away by the range. I’ve been driving and buying vehicles for 47 years and have never noticed that wide of variance in oil pressures. I wondered if it might be reading wonky.

Cold starts show me 100lbs until warm up, auxiliary gauge is buried... definitely not a car you want to get in and floor it😭
I agree, my Dad always stressed the point to go easy until the motor reached normal operating temps. This is the first Mustang we’ve ever owned and I have never saw that high of oil pressures on other vehicles I’ve owned. It’s good to know the Coyote is well lubricated!

I'm on a Gen3, but yes, the pressures you're seeing are normal.

^ This was a thread started by @JAM486HP  . It provides a lot of insight as to what people are seeing across all their gauges, in different conditions.

Below is a generic search of threads on the topic which might specify a single issue.

Thank you, I’ll check it out

90 or 100psi is perfectly normal. the S550 GT350 and GT500 even had their gauges able to go up to 150psi instead of everyone else that topped out at 100psi
