There is no valve body in a manual transmission which the recall states is the issue.

8 years using this trans in the 2 models they sell most of and they still can't get it right. It's absolutely pathetic Ford! I sold my Mach 1 10-speed because I just couldn't drive the erratic ticking time bomb anymore.
I really feel sorry for those that continue to have issues and hope all those in the class action lawsuit WIN!

was able to verify this is real. came out 11 days ago. safety recall 25S19. 269 Lincoln Aviators, Ford Bronco, Explorer, F-150, Mustang, and Rangers are affected.

Currently advance notice with an expected ETA of Q2 2025. here is the full description:
"On all of the affected vehicles, some inner dimensions of the transmission main valve body do not meet the engineering print specifications, and the driver may experience no reverse motion when the gear selector is placed in reverse. The vehicle may move forward while the gear selector is placed in the reverse or neutral position. The Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) and Wrench light will illuminate when this malfunction occurs. Unexpected vehicle motion can increase the risk of a crash."

Thanks for the clarification. I wasn't aware that a valve body was exclusive to an auto trans.
