One additional item:

- Pre-delivery, ask for any documents found inside the car (the build sheet and as-built) be kept

Build sheets and as-built documents are left in the interior at the factory; they are often removed and tossed during the dealer inspection. Nice keepsakes. You'll only have one chance to get the factory originals.

I thought it'd be a good idea to add the following to the New Car Acceptance Checklist.

• Confirm all tracking devices are deactivated and removed, with any affected wiring returned to the factory configuration and standard

The -16 pounds can add up at the Track!
