Thats not normal after only 4 or 5 days.

It is with a poor state of charge. Mine will go a week or so mostly before getting the 'disconnected from remote services' in the app showing the car is in battery saver mode - which I hasten to add is a normal process to save the battery. If the battery is in a poor state of charge it will happen sooner. In older cars it would show on the Sync 3 screen with a warning, with Sync 4 you just get a blank screen until you start the car.

It happens when the SOC drops below 50%, and the BMS has a target of 80% so you have 30% to play with.

Related incident. I just bought a new 2025 Explorer ST. Dealer had to put a new battery in day of sale.
Use ‘em or lose ‘em. Or, charge ’em.

Yes they will not take abuse. If discharged for any length of time they are toast.

It is an H6 (group 48) AGM... should be able to find one about anywhere as lots of cars use that size.

There is a built in timer regardless of the SOC that will disconnect remote services, i think it's two weeks of no vehicle entry though.

But as others have said it's under warranty anything that a new battery will fix is Fords problem.
Everything else is an operating issue.
They will do a SOH check during service, mine passed after not being used for 2 months until the day before service.

Re battery tender, invest in a CTEK MX5..charges all the AGM too.. I fit a short charge lead to all my vehicles too, (think it came with one? but available to buy) Then its simply plug n play..simples..

Finally got around to buying a CTEK MXS 5.0 charger to keep my battery topped up. I've hard-wired a CTEK extension to make connecting it up easier (adding a fuse along the way). Done the same with my SLK - too many cars and not enough time driving them!

If anybody needs one this is the battery to get

A7 Varta Dynamic AGM 096 Start Stop Car Battery 12V 70Ah (570901076)

Somewhat confusingly the Varta A7 is equivalent to H6 (096 size) and the A6 is equivalent to the H7 (110).

The H6 is the correct length of 278mm whereas the H7 is longer at 315mm so don't mix them up.
