Larger MY24 GT Engine Oil Cooler - transversely mounted behind new metal Sump. It is also near the hot Cats, although it is now placed to catch cold air flow under the car.

This should be a big improvement over the hot engine-mounted set-up on all previous models (FM/FN).

Hi Steve, doesnt the car have the air engine oil cooler up front below headlights. Could this be a water cooled transmission cooler?

Hi, no the FM/FN GT engine Oil Cooler is positioned on the engine block and yes the cooling for the Auto goes through the radiator, and the Power Steering is in front of the Radiator. I will try and find a pic of the Oil Cooler.

It's a joke what we are getting. Dark Horse is $20K more than what the Mach 1 was and we get a watered down version, with only 2kW more than the regular GT. Plus the GT I heard Chaz Mostert looking at, you can hardly hear it it is that muffled. Handbrake on the wrong side as well as the starter button, WTF was Ford Australia thinking. Cancelling my Dark Horse order.
is this true that the handbrake is on the LHD side for a RHD car? And even the start button? What a shame / that’s not even worth considering / it’s like a half baked version delivered down under

Unfortunately Ford in their infinite wisdom, have not bothered to reverse the centre console, and although the Start Button has been on the RHS with the FM/FN (2015-23) Mustangs, it seems they have not bothered to reverse it with the MY24.

Atleast will the center console face the driver on the RHD or is it still going to be LHD tilted?

Yes it is reoriented for RHD, however even though the Volume control is also on the steering wheel, it seems this has not been swapped in position with the Start Button as with previous models:

Hmmm.. that’s alright..
But, mate / even the USB ports are not swapped out with the 12v.
Btw - that drift brake is so out of place - almost unusuable.
Hope FoMoCo take notice of all the feedback and make those changes. Aus should get their fair share of a proper s650 pony ..

btw - is it all confirmed that the layout is going to be that way or it’s just the rendering you are all going by?

It is not an ideal or convenient placement, however you do get used to it.......eventually.

The images were taken from the FoA site, however would have been from the Pre-Production car that visited Aust' last year - unless they are CGI and some detail was potentially overlooked.

As a Pre-Production car, there are no guarantees where standard production LHD parts may have been used to substitute for possibly unavailable RHD parts (eg Tail Lights etc).

2016 RAV4 Cruiser, S650 allocated, waiting...
A few snippets of general information regarding S650 changes found in another topic.

A guy who was in a strategic role within Engineering working on products being delivered to every region said:
• The S650 suspension has the same hard points as S550 but different geometry in some localized regions to help with performance and tram lining.

• S650 also gets the latest and greatest MagneRide dampening technology carryover from the Raptor program so you can expect some different dampening rates there. The suspension is overall extremely similar but has quite a different feel.

• The 10-Speed AT hardware is carryover but has revised tuning and shift points.

• The steering ratio / rack have been completely re-engineered and met with mixed reviews among enthusiasts.

• Many parts and components have been re-tooled and re-sourced with the intention of providing better quality over the previous platform.
And Thomas Holland thought the S650 was "the same car", and refused to refer to to it as "all new".
