I don't understand why they continue to review the Dark Horse when you cannot buy one in Oz anymore...
I would be interested to know if there are 2025 Dark Horses still coming into the country, or if the whole allocation was exhausted in MY24.5 cars. Considering the order bank was full in 2023, I cannot imagine anyone has waited another 2+ years for their car to arrive.

View counts. Popular model, high chance it will get high view counts, which means more revenue for a channel that has reached the monetization level. Oh, and he gets to drive a Darkhorse.

Nice car control skill...........................

The guy can clearly drive well. I wish I could do stuff like that but my mechanical simpathy and self preservation gene is totally overpowering.

Something I haven't played with yet!
I haven't bothered with the cruise control yet either, but I know which one is more fun! :bandit:

I haven't deliberately yet, got squirrely in the wet a few weeks ago, brown town moment.

I've turned off the radar function of my cruise control, it annoys the crap out of me.

Deano1798 I can't recommend more highly getting into a club and doing a skid pan day. My muscle memory ever since I did it, kicks in automatically, I have had my Mustang GT fully crossed up out of round abouts several times now, no panic, just calm, slight off the accelerator, spin wheel in opposite direction, power on, smiles for days. Actually, that reminds me right there is the difference between Pirellis and P4's in the wet, Pirellis slide without trying, P4's don't, you have to be deliberate and there is no way you are going to tell Mr Plod that you slid out on oil with P4's

I really want to do exactly this. Do an advanced driving training day that includes some time on the skid pan. I should really get off my ass and book it.

So, it's not just me that suffers an element of guilt after some enthusiastic driving? (Note that I refuse to use the word "spirited", I hate that term for hard driving)

I will say though, I not abusive. I'm happy to take an engine right out to the redline, but smashing the rev limiter is not my style. When I had my manual S550, I never power shifted or used force, I've seen enough people slamming gears and then wondering why the MT-82 grenades, please! Also, and its a habit I've got into with Falcon's with the fragile diff bushes, I don't slam the throttle from rest or lower speeds, rather a smoothly rolling into it.

I haven't deliberately yet, got squirrely in the wet a few weeks ago, brown town moment.
They get your attention! I think the short wheelbase tends to make catching those ooops moments harder. Not to mention the DSC which is tuned very loosely.

There is a certain road that I often travel along, which has a slight downward right hander. Let's set this up; nose down with weight on the front and light rear end, wet or damp surface. Turn in and lightly tap the throttle, the rear will unhook and begin to slide with ease. This applied to my Falcon's, the Jaguar, Mustang and even my RWD Ranger.

A well calibrated DSC will chime in early and softly, so you get a little bit of slide and some opposite lock before the DSC chimes in and makes you feel like a champion driver. The Jaguar and Falcon's fit this category.

A lesser DSC calibration, well, that can lead to some brown moments if you aren't expecting it. The Mustang will allow an alarming amount of angle and opposite lock before the DSC chimes in abruptly, wet or dry. This is why I say unless you are an experienced circuit racer, DO NOT TURN OFF THE DSC, because even with it on, you have plenty of leeway for it to not be a hindrance. (This applies mostly to my older S550 as I haven't probed the outer edges of the S650 yet). On the Ranger with no weight in the tray, and despite only 118 kW, it's even easier. Again, you can often end up with too much slide before the DSC chimes in. Fun though.

I hate radar cruise control as well, most people seem to like it though. For me, I find it a hindrance.

Not a S650 video, but I love how Chris has a handle on the Mustang. Which considering how twitchy the rear axle is and the lack of steering feel, well it displays how talented Chris is at his craft.
