A relatively new member, I was going through some photos and found these. But these are closer to the end of the story than the beginning. I met my wife in 1985. Our connection was a love of cars. She had a brand-new GT with the 5-speed, the last with a carburetor, I believe. It was grey with the black strips, one thick, two thin on the hood and the red pencil stitching on the seats. I had a red 1969 GTO convertible, which I sold to get her an engagement ring. We were married for 13 years. She always wanted to get matching GTs. Her plate already was TEDEBR (her name was Theodora, but everyone called her Teddi) and I was to have a plate that read GRZLBR.

Unfortunately, she developed cancer and our last summer together we went west and rented a red Mustang (see pics). Now 20 years later I finally bought that GT.

My condolences for your loss. Congratulations on your GT. Way to honor her memory. You will see her every day you turn it on. I pray for your peace.

My wife chose a Rapid Red with Carmine Red interior (she chooses the form) Mustang GT (I got to choose function) for our new car. She is chronically ill and wanted us to have a new car and something I can enjoy as well. I have never owned a Mustang let alone any other performance car. She wants us to enjoy it together while she can. Thank you for your beautiful love story.

So sorry for your loss. What an absolutely beautiful story. I have a feeling there's an angel in your passenger seat every time you go for a drive. God Bless.
