I'm not really surprised by this because Mustangs have inherent wheel hop/spin that a lot of other cars don't have. The nismo is also hundreds of pounds lighter and has a turbo which will help it in higher rpms for the roll race. I'd be curious to see both of these on a track to compare times. Also what the above said: the driver of the Mustang is clearly incompetent or holding back at certain points in the video.

The Mustang driver needs to stick to parking lots and 30 mph roads. They were so timid on their throttle inputs that the 10R80 was skipping multiple gears.

I put in ear buds , and you can clearly hear it downshift 3 times when he let off during the "roll race" at 6:04 in the video. Not to mention it sounded like it was in regular mode to begin with. The rpms would have been higher when they stepped on it if it had been in sport or drag. I call total BS. . .

That'd work if they used a professional driver. No meaningful comparison using unskilled drivers, we'd just be testing which car scared them less.

I used to sell parts to Nissan and their quality is so poor that I won’t even take one as a rental car. Pure junk.

I don't follow. The Z ran 12.5. GTs are running what, 12.6 on a good day? My buddy's A10 GT with full bolt on mods and good tires ran 11.7 but he was milking it for everything he could get without going forced induction.
