Lift pads vs jack pads

I hope I'm posting this under the correct sub-heading. I have been looking and shopping around for something to save my pinch welds when I jack up the car. I've looked at jacking rails and am considering them, but I still need to put a jack stand in a spot not on the jacking rails per videos I've watched from Steeda and CJ pony. I'm also looking at jack pads vs lift pads to help with this. The lift pads are a semi-permanent install vs jack pads are only on when the jack is engaged with the pinch welds. Does anyone have experience with either as to which one will save my pinch welds from damage, or are they both the same?

For anyone else looking at options I ended up going with these from SVE. I chose them because they maintain the original appearance under the car with no irreversible modifications. Installation looks to be quick and provides a safe jacking location anytime the car is in the shop or here at home.

I went with the LMR jacking pucks. Quality product and only took about 15 minutes to install with my car on the ground. I had ZL1addon pucks on my Z06's.

What are you doing/where are you lifting that the jacking rails don’t work? The jacking rails extend to the jacking points on both sides.

I wanted to be able to jack the car up safely away from the pinch welds without having to make any permanent mods to the underside of the car. The SVE pucks from LMR are the perfect fit for me. I don't have to trim anything and they bolt cleanly to the undercarriage. May not be for everyone, but definitely for me.

Has anyone who installed the jack pads also bought new frame/sub frame bolts vs. reuse the one-time use from factory?

Just got my ZL 1 Addon jack pads. Man! Are these things light compared to the steel full length Steeda jacking rails I had on my Focus RS. With the two set screws to hold them in place; they'll be a cinch to move back and forth along the GT's pinch weld if I need to.
