I received the same email today.
To me, it seems like a soft confirmation for a delay. Anyone else get this email? Thoughts?
Yea I forgot to my bad. You've got a really unique name and it's probably in your best interest to leave that info blanked out on a public forum like this
I get that. The place I work makes a few mechanical products and makes (most) of the parts to repair said products. We have to keep some inventory on hand. There are things that happen, sure. But you keep a safety stock of inventory, and you also front load when you release a new product that you are trying to sell. Even doing all that things happen, but for them to happen up front...really prior to any non "pre-production" items to make it out... I'm just sayinJIT.
Ford (and other OEMs) don't want that inventory on their books, so they only have suppliers deliver parts on an as-needed basis.
Ford's under the impression that because of its brute scale (historically), it can bully vendors into holding its inventory and expediting its orders on demand.I get that.
