To me, it seems like a soft confirmation for a delay. Anyone else get this email? Thoughts?

Yes got mine today, I have seen this on Bronco6G and M6G, they will send the email every 45 days until you get scheduled. Just letting you know you are still in the system.

Don't feel bad guys and gals, this just came out on the corvette blogger.. GM is no better:

Today starts the May order cycle for the 2023 Corvette Stingrays and we have some constraints to tell you about. FYI, this is the second to last order cycle for the Stingray with final ordering for the 2023 models coming in June.

We told you yesterday that Elkhart Lake Blue and Caffeine were no longer orderable, but guess who didnā€™t tell the dealers? Thatā€™s right. GM has sent no notifications to dealers that these two colors have been built out. In fact, the only way a dealer knows they canā€™t order them is by trying to input them with an order, and then getting an error message that pops up on the screen and tells them the colors ā€œare built-out for the 2023 Model Year.ā€ Those dealers who spent the time lining up their orders for today now have to go back to any of their customers who wanted those two colors and have them pick another.

This is not the way to do business, and as we have said recently, the communication between dealers and GM on really easy items such as telling them that two exterior colors are already built out has really been atrocious. It reflects badly on both the automaker and the dealer, and customers are once again left in the dark about what can be ordered in a timely fashion.

Got the same. They are absolutely full of shit. I work supply chain, and it's self induced at ford.

Did you place your order on 3/27?
I did, but itā€™s technically in on 3-28 cuz they screwed up my email and didnā€™t fix it till the next day. I donā€™t have a build date or VIN yet

IF they cared, they would've front loaded proactively. I could understand if they've gotten a good many cars out, and then start having "supply chain issues". But to have them immediately.... I'm with you.

Seems specific to cars that haven't been scheduled yet. I'm wondering if the build dates are also based on their desire to get a certain allocation of the different builds out on the road first.

JIT.

Ford (and other OEMs) don't want that inventory on their books, so they only have suppliers deliver parts on an as-needed basis.
