We had a stop sell recall on Mustang brake pedals a few years ago, and had a dozen cars we could not sell for several months. We parked them out back out of sight and when it took a long time for the fix, the GM asked Ford to cut us slack on the floor plan (how vehicles are financed to the dealer) and they said no, because we could "sell" them, just not deliver them!

Warranty start date - important.
Days of interest paid on loan for vehicle you can't drive - important, too.

I'd be super #@$% pissed because they should have KNOWN it could not be delivered. Why they allowed you to pay for it and get all the monies traded around before telling you this is unacceptable.
So would I to the point I would cancel it, ( they should have known the recall) get ALL my money back and find a reputable new dealer. Case closed.
