Thanks for the advice! I was looking at exhaust systems and some were 2-3k… sticker shock for sure. And yes I have the 6 speed!
Start with the H-pipe, if you want louder, start saving 😁.

Second the steeda short throw shifter. Greatly improves the driving experience

Welcome, beautiful ride

Just be aware that whatever exhaust you choose could be loud during the cold start, and if you don't have an adjustable valve exhaust you won't be able to quite it. This is why I only recommend an H-Pipe.

Yeah… I’ve been thinking about that. I just moved into a new neighborhood and I don’t want to become public enemy #1 immediately.

Where I grew up most Mustang owners are pure IDIOTS. You could say the Mustang has a bad reputation there. Mostly Thugs have them, and they are obnoxious. Their cars are junk. Only nice guy I knew was back in the 80s. He had an original Fast Back like the Bullitt. Yellow and all original. Can't remember the year. Parked outside and no one touched it. Try that today. It'd be gone real quick. Thankfully where I live know the car is respectable, but you still have to watch where you venture. I don't worry so much because I know mine can be at their junk all day long. Or at least until their engine seizes up.

Hi all.

I am Chris from Germany 40+ and bought my Mustang GT PP Convertible for cruising around and racing on the Nürburgring.
My first Mustang, my first Ford.

What a great combination this car is.
Especially this non-turbo-engine with the performance exhaust pipes is a dream.
Gives a bit of US lifestyle to my Porsche and Mercedes dominated area here (both headquarters are located nearby).

My daily driver is a BMW 5series hybrid.

Howdy Mustang 7g forum!

Been lurking around for about a month since I picked up a shiny, new 2024 Vapor Blue Dark Horse with the handling package.
Figured I might as well sign myself up.

Welcome! I spent three years in Stuttgart as a teenager in the early 90's, and loved it. I remember riding my bike to the BMW showroom and wishing I had the 850i on display.

Hi! I'm a former Mustang owner (2013 Boss 302) who foolishly picked up a 2021 Chevrolet Camaro 2SS Convertible from a local dealer here in Albany/Saratoga area. While welding in a wideband bung, my guy says to me, "wow, she's leaking oil." Hilarity ensues: stealership tried twice to fix the leak, holding the car for more than 20 days. Long story short, PCV system appears to be shoot, and block will need an overhaul. Sick of the whole thing, I rolled on down to local Ford shop and scooped up a 2025 Mustang GT Premium in Magenta with the Bronze wheels.

Love the car. Drives like a dream. I've learned this week that she really likes to be up high; I use to stick around 1400 just moving around town, and this car really, really wants to up at 2,000 - 2,400 for everyday stuff. The sounds are amazing, and as long as you're at the right spot, the powerband is incredibly responsive. I've been blazing over local trails around here, car is smooth as silk and sounds incredible.

Some info about me, I started tuning Mazdaspeed 3's back in 2008, learned the basics, then switched to first Mustang. Next serious car was a Golf R, which I loved, but we traded it towards in Ioniq 5 (LOVE that car as a daily). Camaro was a botched experiment, but I did learn to tune it, and I'm really hoping HPTuners adds the S650 platform to their stable soon.

Turned my whole garage upside down to work on a project car, wife is on board and enthusiastic about the car and the organization. Got some quickjacks, a creeper, and a mechanic's chest finally, and threw a Roush intake on last night as a Welcome present to her, lol.

Based out of the Albany area; glad to be on a forum with other folks, and always interested in meetups, etc.

May I make a suggestion. Look into a Steeda Mustang GT MT-82 Tri-Ax Short Throw Shifter. I got one for my brothers 24 GT, and it really helps. Mounts to both transmission and chassis. I had the street Tremec installed on my daughter's and my Dark Horse. Thing shifts great already, but the Steeds street Tri-Ax makes it quicker. Street short throw also available for MT-82.

I appreciate the suggestion; I actually have already ordered an MGW X-Spec. I had the privilege of trying out an MGW back on another buddy's Boss 302 back in the day, and like you say, these things fuse to the transmission and chassis and eliminate loads of slop, in addition to an additional 21/25% reduction on an already close ratio shifter. I've always wanted to get my own MGW, so now that dream is happening. Steeda makes fabulous stuff though, easily could have gone in that direction.
