Hello everyone, I have finally joined the G7 community. On Friday 16 August, I ordered my 2024 GT/CS and am hoping that it won’t be converted to a 2025. Apparently the order banks aren’t closing until the 19th so wish me luck.

I've had a passion for Mustangs since I was 12 years old. Those 2004 Mustang GTs still hold a special place in my heart.

I've owned two mustangs so far. Both V6. 2002 and 2013. Have loved them both.

Just recently ordered a 2024 Mustang GT Premium 6 speed with 401a and active valve and am TERRIFIED they won't be able to build it in time, as there is no way I can afford the 2025. Which is aa.d but I really hope they come through.

I heard because I don't have the NPP or PP that I should have a good shot at it being built but if any of you can alleviate some anxiety with stories like this going thru lol or something else I can do other than pray to the car gods every night, I would appreciate it.

It's my first V8, and I truly did listen. I have never driven one, even if offered because I know I couldn't afford it. Finally test drove it and I'm so happy I waited. I would have been so upset with my V6.

Anyways, truly happy to be here. I was looking for a forum to join, I just hope I actually get my car or else I most likely won't be around much haha.

Hello all, My name is Bobby and I currently reside in Colorado. Originally from California.

My first car was a 1969 Mustang Coupe with a 351W, my 2nd car was a 67 Mustang Coupe with a 302, and 3rd mustang was a 1998 Mustang GT.

I ordered a 2024 GT w/401a, PP, NPP, AVE, MDS, and 10 speed auto, in Shadow Black. Production starts week of September 9th.

Hello All!
I'm Interested to see the New Stang but I'll be sticking with my Mach 1 for a while.

Your car is still a good looking vehicle! Why give it up? Stick with it! Unless you keep this car and buy another Mustang, that’ll be good!

Hey guys. In the market for a GT350 but I’m a little late in the game it seems with now a new generation being introduced. Let’s see what Ford has in store!
Maybe the next GT350 would be the GTD!!

Hello good people!

Just a month ago, I picked up my new favorite thing:

S650 Mustang Introductions & Welcome Thread 👋 2024mustang2
S650 Mustang Introductions & Welcome Thread 👋 2024mustang1

I traded in a very-well-cared-for 2007 GT premium in Windveil Blue with a gray interior that I absolutely LOVED for the nearly 18 years I owned it (I hope whoever bought it loves it just as much as I did). I waffled a lot about the colors that were available for 2024 (because they were all either something I didn't want or boring, IMO). I waited to see what 2025 would bring, saw nothing better, so I found this 2024 in Carbonized Gray with all the features I wanted on it at a really good price (so I didn't have to pay even more for a 2025). Carbonized Gray is still a bit boring (especially compared to the Windveil Blue that I had), but... here we are.

Random thoughts from shopping for it and the first month of owning it, in no particular order:

  • Why can't I have Emberglo seats with the 401A package? 😡 What, people who like brown don't need fancy features?? How silly.
  • This screen is SEXY. I was seduced, I tell you!
  • Why is the steering wheel so small?? And why are there flat bits on the bottom?? Weird...
  • Why is the entire interior BLACK (other than bits of the seat if you choose that)? It's so hot, and shows every spec of EVERYTHING! Dust, scuffs, oils from hands... the light gray in the 2007 I had was so much better in every way.
  • Damn, this thing moves... I didn't fully appreciate the difference between 300hp and 480hp. I could get into trouble with this!
  • Why is there no mute or pause on the steering wheel? Such a logical thing, but it's not there.
  • I miss my fully sequential taillights from my 2007... these are only partially sequential (turn signals and hazards). Just why though?
  • Why does Apple CarPlay not just WORK? Get in the car, it connects just fine. Drive 100 yards up the road, realize I've forgotten something, go back, park the car, and when I come back and turn it on again, CarPlay won't connect. Happens ALL.THE.TIME. Sometimes won't connect if I remote start the car. Dunno whether it's a Ford issue or an Apple issue, but they need to just play nice. Would even be nice if it was a consistent issue so I could reproduce and try to avoid, but no.
  • Ooooh, that exhaust is sexy too... though I doubt my neighbor thinks so. Poor guy's bedroom windows face my garage. At least I don't leave my house until after 9 a.m. most days.
  • Not sold on these wheels (they're so... BRIGHT... against the rest of the car), but I didn't want the 20" wheels because they didn't ride as nice, even though they looked better.
  • I really do NOT need to go to the store, or Starbucks, or the mall... or anywhere really, but I gotta go drive it again!

I'll probably get custom leather upholstery in gray at some point (I'd rather have something like the Emberglo, but then there are these seatbelts with a gray stripe, what's up with that?) so it's not completely black inside, and maybe change the wheels. My other one was completely stock except for some light covers, because I loved it from day one just the way it was. This one is growing on me, but I'm not sure I'll ever LOVE it the way I loved the old one.

One more Ford to add to the list that we've had in our family for generations—a few trucks, five Mustangs now (including a Fox body that I learned to drive with in 1980!), a couple of Explorers and an Edge that's parked next to this new Mustang. I guess we bleed blue! 😁

Just a follow up, I had to ditch the order for the GT/CS but my dealership made up for it. I officially own a 2024 Mustang GT in Oxford White.
