Welcome Billy. I'm curious why you've chosen the Ecoboost, mileage?

I'm on my 2nd S550. Looking forward to the S650 release. Will I consider buying one? It depends. :)

Wow, I didn't remember I joined this site way back in 2022. Well, I did end up getting an S650 almost 4 years later. :)

Thanks for the add. I don't own an S650 yet, but am perusing this site to learn more. I am a long-time Mustang and have had many, including the one below which I currently have. Last one was a 2018 GT PP with the auto....really liked it, but was a bad ownership experience. Anyway, learning more about the DH where it matters most...owners who know what they're talking about.

Hi all, thanks for the add. My first Mustang and second convertible. Traded in my 07 Miata for a used 24 Ecoboost Premium. After one week I’m really loving the car. Plenty of power for cruising and can’t wait to road trip in it this summer and fall!

Hi Everyone,
Haven't driven a Ford since '85. Have owned Honda, Oldsmobile and Volkswagens VR-6. I've been driving Subaru for the last 2 decades. 20 yrs with the brand. FXT, LGT and the last 10 in STI Limited. I traded it in and bought a 2026 Dark Horse Premium, 10 spd AT. Blue Ember with the appearance package. Took delivery yesterday. Subaru lost my loyalty once they discontinued the STI and killed the EJ. Now they're offering a 271 horsepower FA. I wanted to go forward in power not backwards. Been looking for a replacement for almost 2 yrs. Camaro discontinued, Redsport discontinued, IS500 discontinued, Z Performance fail... I wanted a trunk. The new Dodge Charger 6 pack sounds like a lawn mower. Dodge may comeback with the Hemi, but I didn't want to wait.

Super happy with my choice and return to Ford. The DH is great!

If you find the 500 HP inadequate, you can always strap on a Whipple!

As for Subaru.... They still list an STI, but apparently they don't make the S209, which I believe you were referencing? Doesn't matter, my 2024 EB will run away from one of those, save for top speed. Imagine what your DH will do to one?

Indeed. I have many happy memories with Subaru. I loved driving and maintaining them. I still have my Legacy. She turned 19 this year with 187,000 MI, still going strong. All I did is change the oil every 3,000 miles... of course I did everything else as well... plugs, hoses, belts... Diff, brake, trans and Rad fluids regularly. Brakes, a radiator and a few wheel hubs. Some suspension bits too. Those cars run forever if you take care of them. I went stage 2 in my Legacy, but quickly got tired of swapping the downpipe out every two years to pass smog. California is the worst. Your car can have no measurable emissions but you'll fail visual.

My STI came with factory brembos. 4 pots in the front, 2 in the back. I also like DBA rotors. The brakes on the Dark Horse are phenomenal.

I was hopeful when they released the s209... 341 horsepower. I thought Subaru is finally going in the right direction. Availability was extremely limited, and then they were gone.

I purchased my STI in the summer of 2016, 'MY 17. It was a great vehicle.

The STI has been reintroduced as a concept but it's going to be a hatch and the concept looked ridiculous. I don't see them making any meaningful power gains either. Happy if they prove me wrong but I'm not going to hold my breath. Done with them now I've moved on. 🙂 no regrets.

I'm at the beginning of my journey with Ford. Won't need to touch anything for a long while. 500HP is plenty for me. I was only looking for 400 originally.

Hello all! New 2024 Ecoboost Premium owner here. It's my first Mustang and it's been a long time coming.

I used to have the poster with all the cars from '64-1/2 all the way up to the 80s when I was a kid and I'd stare at it for hours.

When I got a good enough paying job and decided to buy my first new car I test drove a '95 5 speed GT but I ended up ordering a '95 Probe GT with a 5 speed because it was a little more affordable. I loved that car and if it wasn't for a chance meeting with a black bear at night I swear I'd still own it to this day. Ended up replacing that with a '97 T-bird LX with a 4.6 V8.

Soon life got in the way... Wife and kids and trying to afford a house made car buying less fun. Once the kids got older I was able to get a 2016 Nissan Altima 3.5 SR. Another great car but I couldn't keep it because I didn't feel like eventually replacing the CVT. The wife's sister possibly needed help at the time as she has MS, so instead of a Camaro RS I had to go practical again and went for an Equinox. Yikes.

Fast forward to this year. The Equinox was racking up the miles and I wanted something sporty again. I drove a Kia K5 GT, a Genesis G70, a Hyundai Elantra N... All great cars in my price range but the wife just happened to find a deal on the Mustang because it was a 2024 still sitting on the lot. I drove it and loved it. We're empty nesters now so a coupe is fine. I'm not too old yet to hate getting in and out of it so now was the time. Better late than never!

I think my favorite Easter egg is the silhouettes of all the generations on the bottom of the back window.

I still remember that poster and I can't believe I own one finally. If only 12 year old me could see me now.

I bought a 2024 EC Premium as I needed a car post haste! I've owned it almost two years. My suggestion to you is, buy the Ford Performance Tune. Look around as some outlets offer a discount. It is easy to install, and the difference is nothing short of amazing! You'll also get better mileage when driven modestly. You probably won't!

Hello, new owner of the 26 GT Premium in Iconic Silver.

After 30 years of predominantly German cars I have switched my daily driver to a GT.

Picked it up Monday and other than a transmission replacement next week it's been great. I went through the new car pickup checklist from another thread and every box checked. A bad sensor in the transmission - that has to be a fluke and not human build quality, I hope.

I have already learned a ton from this group and will continue to learn more.
