What kind of car lift do you have?

Fitted the SVE jack pads to mine last week.
It is absolutely do-able without a lift.

Totally doable without a lift. Great video.

I just did mines but did not add the screw lube. Is that an issue?
It's Blue medium thread locker to keep bolts from backing out. The guy doing the LMR video stated that the front bolts from Ford are 1 time use and felt that putting the thread locker would keep them from ever backing out. The reason they are one time use is because they are torque to yield bolts meaning they might not have the same holding power if they are reused. The back bolts have a built in barbed surface at the bolt head so he said thread locker is not needed but it can't hurt to add it.

My thoughts exactly.
You need the thread locker for the front bolts, so why not add it to the supplied rear bolts while you're at it.

I would check the rear ones from time to time. I’ve had mine on since they released a few months ago and noticed one of my rear pads was barely hanging on. Ended up tightening it again and torquing to spec but will check all of them in a few days just to be sure they’re not getting loose over time. I did use blue thread lock on the front but not the rears.

That blue locker is good stuff. I used on my boat rudder safe which is on the outdrive and nothing ever came loose. The blue will allow you to remove the bolt if need be. Using the red thread lock will many times require heat to break loose.

I love the look and the concept. Best way to protect the pinch welds and box frame members. I ran it by two local Ford dealers a while back and both said they would not lift my 'stang using 3rd party jack posts. They said their insurance would not be valid and that, yes, they had checked. At least, so far, they have put it on drive on ramps to service it but I suspect that will change with a coming tire rotation.

I don't let dealers touch any of my cars unless I have to. Period. When I go to a tire shop to get new tires or wheels I watch them work on my car until I am comfortable and where I go, they will jack my car the way I want it jacked. If they don't want do it my way.....it's the highway for me.
