well, looks like i'm not getting one from my dealer. it's going to a guy that's willing to pay $50k over MSRP and i can't compete with that. we're also promised only one allocation per model year, but more allocations later isn't out of the question
i have absolutely no chance now. there's 5 or 6 people waiting to buy one, over half of which are willing to pay $30k+ markups, and at least 2 are willing to pay $50k+ markups. almost all of them are Ford GT and/or Mustang GTD owners. i can only hope that the loss of the track special package in the 2027 model year drives them all away

I seem to recall Ford once said they were going to have a no dealer markup policy. Guess not.

yeah, i was hoping that would've been real too. but even if it was real, i doubt it would block under the table "i'm your favorite" money, because you can disguise that as an unrelated gift, or a tip or something

DHSC is soon to easily be a 200k car to own, just like the ZR1s are closer to 300k

best bet is 2020 gt500s, the drivetrain and the GTD really changes the price scale moving forward.

take MSRP out of it.

DH/HP CF… 100k ish
DH/SC CF … 200k ish
GTD /TP CF … probably 400 plus…

point is it fits in the line up right where ford wants it to.
base 300a GT with a stage 2 whipple is still the best way to reliably go fast AF for cheap!

What exactly does that mean?
the first production run of the Dark Horse SC, so the second half of the 2026 model year, has an exclusive "track special package" for it, limited not only in model year production, but total production numbers. the hope is that once the 2027 model year comes around and that package is no longer available, the "i'll pay anything for rarity" guys go away

Could still get a 22 GT500 up through 41 months, and 41K miles and get factory 10 year warrantee
(if not modding drivetrain).

Got my 21 about a year and half old for $96K w/2600 miles. Sticker was $105K, but I bet it originally went for closer to 120ish (being CFTP, painted stripe, etc..). 10 yr/36K warrantee was $3200. Smoking deal for my track car, warranted until 3032.

Is that "package" going to have anything worthy, performance-wise, never to be offered again? Or just more available/inclusive in 27? (assuming latter).

Agree on waiting. My limit was right around $100K, and even that was purely to get a track car I didn't have to mess with the rest of the time (cept brakes/tires/oil changes).

I came from an S197 that was trapping 130, so GT500 wasn't really any faster on street.

it is visual only. it gives you some exclusive stripes, 3d printed titanium paddle shifters and dial shifter from the GTD, special interior with some admittedly awesome looking checkered flag pattern perforated suede recaro seats. only offered in Oxford White or Shadow Black. its like a GTD Performance Pack Lite

Avalanche is an amazing color. Looks different depending on the lighting.

Beautiful car. I had a 2017 Avalanche Raptor. Loved the color.

it's a shame most of these cars will go to guys/gals that may be able to carry the title of "enthusiast" but never deserving of the title "driver". and the would-be "drivers" that should be out repping the car pushed aside by dealer mark up and greed.
