Not a huge dodge follower, but whether it's a current screen or future, it's what many of us would like to see (in regards to buttons and knobs). It's...
I'm not saying it will be ready for prime time, I'm saying the powers that be seem to be on their own mission these days to do whatever the heck they want. And they seem to want it. Right/wrong, legal/not legal do not seem to matter much anymore. Hence why I think we are getting it and the...
Maybe in the near term, but self driving will cancel that out. I feel most of the general public will be fine not having to drive, so who cares how the controls operate without having to look at them.
No matter what the trim level, basic heater and radio controls should be buttons and knobs that you do not have to look away from the road to use, period (either steering wheel or dash). If you want to duplicate those functions on some screen (for maybe more advanced functioning of those items)...
I think we agree on looks, I was just talking stock performance and the apparant potential with some fairly "minimal" bolt ons. Not too many Fords doing 0-60 in the 3's with summer tires on the street (no prep). I've tried to get in the 3's (using Dragy) with my S197 auto that runs 10.7's @ 130...

Also sounds like maybe the insr companies are not fully on board yet. Hope they charge those extra costs to the EV owners, a track...
Not sure what you wanted from a Fusion, but here is my experience.
Paid $27.3K new, Put 245/40ZR-19 PS4S's on it, sway bars, and a 93 tune. So well
under 30 grand with mods.
Ran 12.7's my second pass.
With minor weight reduction (spare/mats/remove junk)
Does 0-30 in about the same...
Not in throttle response, and the coyote throttle response blows compared to any Winsdor that had an actual throttle cable (part of that may be the new autos too).
