well, looks like i'm not getting one from my dealer. it's going to a guy that's willing to pay $50k over MSRP and i can't compete with that. we're also promised only one allocation per model year, but more allocations later isn't out of the question
Crazy. Lots of better options out there at MSRP+50k IMO.

Big difference between approximately $175k ($125+50) vs. $400k+ for a GTD (if you could even order one).
according to my GSM, GTDs can easily go for even $600k or more. plus the whole "selected by Ford" and "2025 and 2026 models are spoken for" thing

unknown as of now. but by the sounds of it, no matter the price, he's willing to do the 50k over
Sorry to hear that dude. I ran into the same thing back in 2023 when shopping for a Ram TRX. Dealers were asking over MSRP frequently. Local dealer had a guy say he was willing to pay $20k over before we even knew MSRP. (I went and found one at MSRP at a different dealer 4 hours away months later.)

Keep an eye out, your "$50k over" guy may do what this guy did. I later saw the exact model on the local dealer showroom. I asked, and they said the guy that put down a $1k deposit and promised to pay $20k over backed out of the deal. You never know your luck!

OK, what I was getting at was, the guys clearly not short of a buck, so why not go for the leader of the pack. Unless he's a loonie like I was and is putting his last cent into it.
I was working on $150k plus $50k. Is the SC only going to be $125k?

even if he chickens out, there's already 2 other people in line for the spot also willing to pay gross markups. i've just accepted that i'm not getting a 2026 model year one. maybe the hype will die down when you can't get the track pack special edition version anymore

So the forum - Ugh, horrible, nobody wants to buy this car . . .

Reality:

yeah, but it's more than just the supercharger. the carbon fiber wheels, carbon ceramic brakes, properly working paddle shifters, the blank button now doing track apps, launch control, carbon fiber dash and steering wheel trim, all those and more are reasons i wanted to get an SC. plus, when the Whipple comes out for that, if the GT500 is anything to go by the 3.8L will almost certainly push power to 1100hp or more

In fairness there are always takers for the “brand new” item. Even with absurd ADMs. Let’s see what the numbers look like compared to the GT500 over the full run
