Why???

When I hand them my keys, I am expecting them to treat MY property with respect. They are responsible for it.

if you screw up bad in your job and damage a customer’s property or account or anything like that you don’t feel the customer has a right to pitch a fit and your boss has the right to terminate you for negligence and failure to do your job properly?

im giving her a break because it was a car with handicap controls in it (although the owner said it has normal control as well that work just fine so nobody seems to know how the F she couldn’t stop using the brakes). If the damage was more extensive we would have had a serious problem…

As it is because of her inability to stop the car the dealership is out probably $1000 between the oil change that was comped today, the parts and the labor and possibly loaner car for me when they work on mine…

I take care of my stuff so it will last. I don’t appreciate when it gets damaged by the actions of others…
Reality check bro.

1. Mistake happen. I’m sure you have made a few in your life
2. Its just a car.
3. You didn’t cut Her a break. No one is going to get fired because of a customer temper tram.

Grace goes a long way in life. As does humility, empathy and compassion.

I see where you're coming from, but you almost went full baby boomer, never go full baby boomer. It was an accident. I understand why you'd be upset, but screaming and swearing about it isn't gonna change the situation, or the outcome outside of making it worse.

Good on you OP for showing some restraint; deep breaths and a stiff drink are in order tonight. Hopefully the offending driver will have learned something, so there's that.

You have the right to complain (in a reasonable controlled way) and the company will respond in the way it sees fit, hopefully to your satisfaction.

But no YOU do not have the right to wade in demanding employees are sacked, as you do not employ them. The employer may take disciplinary action as appropriate but that is NOTHING to do with you, you have no rights or responsibilities over this employee as a customer.

It is the employers responsibility to investigate the situation thoroughly, provide training or take whatever measures they deem appropriate based on the evidence, not sack people based on a customer rant.

If the damage was more extensive we would have had a serious problem… What exactly? You are already wanting to sack the employee on the spot, what next? shoot her?

Its a car .....not a museum piece.
Seriously…. Because in the moment I was ready to strangle Somebody. That service tech doesn’t know how close she was to the unemployment line….
Its a car ...not a museum piece....

Its not a Pagani or an Aventor SVJ or a McLaren Senna or Carrera GT ....

I had a tech at a dealer misjudge taking my car off the alignment rack and damage one of the carbon fiber wheels on my car - they got me a new wheel...no harm no foul...

I didnt even think for a second about demanding for them to be fired.... its not like the tech took your car out and ran it into a light pole while doing doughnuts ......

I would do some serious self reflection if I were to ever get this mad over a plastic part easily replaced on an EcoBoost Mustang.....

How about when it’s your property you do you and when it’s mine I do me. I work hard for what I have, I take care of my stuff so it will last and I don’t appreciate it getting damaged and ruined by somebody else’s negligence or incompetence…

yes they are going to make it right but at a lot of hassle for me. I went from having a pristine NEW car to now having something that I know has been damaged. Not cool!

i bit my tongue and didn’t say anything but as the customer I was WELL within my right to raise a much bigger stink than I did.

Has this vent (expression of frustration on the forum) been able to help relieve the pressure? Acknowledged very heartbreaking but who knows it could have been a lesson for others and not yourself?

You live in a condo complex. That in itself is a recipe for disaster. What happened at the oil change is minor compared to a condo parking lot. I also have a new mustang and I'd be very upset if that happened to my Dark Horse. Reading your story does make me understand your emotions, and I hope by reading and trying to understand I can only hope and pray I can have restraint as well. I've invested almost 6 figures in this car, I paid cash so I don't worry about second payments or any payment, but that changes nothing. I just hope like I said that I can show some restraint. I hate when I have to cause a scene. I do my best to remain calm and talk on a level tone. But and I pray "BUT" never happens. Best of luck to you going forward sir.
