This is not one of those earth-shattering things that will cause me to create numerous threads complaining about it and make me sell the car... but it would nice if I could not see that disclaimer after I start driving that warns me about data collection. I've turned off OTA updates, but I left on the location thing because I believe it's required for navigation to work. Or for the car location to be found if it's stolen.

This is the message:

Does anyone know how to turn this off? I searched and browsed the Forscan spreadsheet but didn't find anything. TIA!

I do not remember how to turn-off, but I guess that I did it as I never see this message!

I only see the message if CarPlay doesn’t come up first.

This bugs me too! So this morning I did some tests with bluetooth being on/off prior to starting the car when I was out running errands etc.
When having my bluetooth ON before starting, the annoying message didn't not come on. Not one single time!! Conversely, when BT was OFF it appears every time! So with my car, I can state unequivocally that having BT on before starting will prevent the message!
Glad I investigated this, now I'll never be annoyed again with it!😃👍

I just push the "cancel" button. I HATE big brother stuff. I'm an educated adult and don't need disclaimers and a nanny state like message. On that note, that's just another reason I liked my 400 Firebirds.....open door, get in car, start car, put in gear, go man go! Stop, buy gas, go again....

go into settings and turn off a bunch of things

To turn off data sharing in your Ford Mustang (with SYNC 4/4A),
go to the touchscreen's Settings > Connectivity > Connected Vehicle Features, and toggle off the "Share Vehicle Data" or "Vehicle Connectivity" slider, confirming the prompt; this stops sharing data with Ford, though some features like FordPass and remote functions might be impacted

Confirm this sort of - actually it needs a phone to connect to stop it. Bluetooth on alone is not enough.

Yes, that is correct. When I said "turn on BT before starting" I ment on my phone. Crucial point, oops. 😬 For the benefit of ppl that skip right to latest replies in threads: When phone BT is off message appears. When phone BT is on message does not appear.

It is also a useful reminder that you have left your phone behind!

I confirmed that this works, and explains why I didn't consistently see the message. Thanks!

Of course, I don't usually use BT because few people call me and I don't want to talk to most of them anyway, LOL. And the phone battery lasts longer with it off.

I guess no one knows (so far) how to disable this with Forscan, which was the initial point of this thread... :crying:

Unless you are still using one of these BT makes very little difference to battery life. I can think of no reason to not connect your phone and solve your problem in one go.

Why do you want to disable Bluetooth in the car?
