It didn't do it this morning. I still unlocked it with the remote after a remote start, but I opened/closed the passenger door to put something inside before opening the drivers door. Maybe one day I'll figure it out

Didn’t need to wait long, car parked in garage & turned off.
With key in hand, opened driver’s door then closed it, horn sounded twice.

Has to be most stupidest function, no idea what purpose it serves unless getting some hot chick’s attention in car parked..

Mine's a different issue. No one has shared anything on how to turn it off.

The only time my horn will beep is, if I leave the car on when I exit it. My fusion does the same thing also. So when I get out of the car and it's still on and someone is in the passenger seat I simply don't close the door totally.

Could be the AU cars are different... Does your car lock automatically when you get out? Could be walk away lock confirmation. Do you know where both keys are at the time? Could be telling you that there is still a key in the car. Or a malfunction... thinks the car is still running, or some other malfunction.

It doesn't automatically lock when I get out (it may do it after period of time if I don't lock it - but never noticed / around to hear it auto lock.). I always lock it when leaving car.

One key is always in my hand on exit the other key is at home or If I'm home, key is bout 30ft away in kitchen.

Thanks anyway SK will get dealer to turn it off next week when getting complimentary service (hopefully they will do it for me)

My AU DH also does the annoying double horn - very loud esp if not expecting it.
It occurs when:
- engine/ACC on and leave car with FOB,
- if I double press the lock button on my FOB. A single press doesn’t activate the double horn, but I was in the habit of always pressing the FOB lock several times to “make sure” I’d locked the car in all my previous cars.
Now I lock using the finger swipe on the door handle rather than the FOB otherwise I make sure to only press it once.

I wasn’t going to bother with the 3 month complimentary service but I think I will now and do what ALM5.0 suggested and get the dealer to disable it out.

I disabled that honk when getting out with car running right from the on-screen menu... do you not have that option down under?

Why you kids these days. We had these, and we're happy to be the only one in town to have a working horn with this type of steering wheel. Then the first time we really had to use it the thing would stick to the wheel and you'd have to open the hood to pull off the horns wires. All the time looking like an idiot in traffic trying to unplug the horns wires. So people just left the steering wheels horn cap off, and had no horn, or got one which mounted around the steering column.
