I live in a Condo where the garage is shared so i can't work on cars in there.
I have been searching around Wisconsin/Northern IL for a Shop that will install Long Tube Headers on my car.

1. the number of shops who refused to do it is wild to me... stating they wont remove or touch the Cats...

2. I found 1 place 2 hours away but they quoted me 12hours install time, and $2,200+ to do the install...

that seems high? am I not fully understanding how long it will take?

what's wild to me is I bought the headers with the Green Cats to stay emissions Compliant lol. So its not like I'm asking them to straight pipe the car or anything...

and yea I budgeted and kinda thought 800-1000 would be a good price...
but $2000+ just seems harsh

One of the techs at my dealership put long tubes on his '23, said if he knew what he was getting into, he would not have done it. Whoever does it, won't be cheap.

$2,200 sounds steep even at $200/hr

shops can charge whatever they want these days

3-4 hours a side most likely

some members have said 5-6 hours for them to do them in their driveway

maybe find a local guy that will do it for cash and beer

It took a factory trained Ford tech at my dealership about 10 hours, with a lift and air tools and a helper. Labor in our area is $200-240/hr. Draw your own conclusions...

Mr 698:
Try Middleton Motorsports in Middleton WI. These guys are very good at what they do. Not sure of pricing though. $2000 for installing my Whipple

Considering I’m paying $2800 to have a whole whipple kit installed, I’d say that’s a bit overpriced just for headers to be installed
